After 27 games last season four of the five the teams in the bottom five got relegated. The one that got away was Colchester who ended up with 51 points.
On NC's current form we are projected to get 49 points which on last season's outturn would leave us one place above relegation.
However the bad news is that last season at the same stage teams generally had fewer points than they do this season which suggests that a highish number of points will be required to avoid the drop. Having just looked at all the fixtures we'd darn near have to win all are own home games plus draw against Brentford and Wolves assuming we lose everything away.
It is looking bloody awful at the moment.
