Im sorry but personally I think that anybody who thinks the blades will go straight back up if we go down is diluded.

League 1 at this time is a harder divsion to get out of than the championship. This is by far the easiest i have seen the championship to get out of, and yet another reason why i have been so dissapointed with this season.

League 1 has many more decent clubs who are going at it for promotion. The derby is something of a plus. But there is no way we will get any 3-0 wins next season.
To me such signings as Michael Doyle and collins show that we are looking for League one as they are no way near at the pace for championship level.

Next thing is all these comments about a clear out? In all honesty who do you think is going to buy any of our players? Henderson, williamson (possible but very injury prone), and yeates + ward are the only i can see going and realistically hendo, willo, and yeates are the kind of players we will need to keep. No one will buy the rest because they arent good enough. This includes Ched as the lad is thick as a plank and will never be a decent striker. There will be no clear out and going down to league one will seriously fuck us over - for lack of a better word.

I can only see it going one way, and thats down. Poor finnancial management (selling of players and setting of wages) along with poor managerial appointments has cost us dearly and it will be a long time before we are back up competing for a premiership place.

I am also very sick of anybody who slags off McCabe for "where has all the money gone" and all this rubbish about him pocketing money. What most people can't grasp is that this is his money he has put into the club and at the end of the day the club is a business. I think McCabe has made poor decisions about the timing of selling players along with seriously poor decsions with the mangers brought in. Anybody blaming McCabe for taking money out of the club etc is diluded as I am positive they would not be saying the same if it was their money they were putting in.

I think Adams is the man for the job and i think all we can do is back him as he finds himself with the worst squad possible to work with, the signings he has made will be good enough for league one as that is obviously where we are heading. The finger should be pointed directly at the players and these shouts of "sack the board" are pathetic as i said poor decisions have cost us dear, however everyone makes mistakes. The players however are spineless, i thought at the weekend quinny showed signs of what he is and has been capable of and Risee was quality (this coming from a player who is not owned by the club showing the most fight). The question is to Mr Quinn along with the rest of the team - where are your bollocks, as the team lacks any passion or fight.

Last thing i will say is that I am 18 and off to Uni next year. This obviously means that i have not been to as many games as alot of you who post on here but whether its league one or championship next year i will be getting a season ticket just so i can watch my club as i will be closer to the blades (living in Midlands at the moment) - no matter how poor the situation. One thing I am looking foward to is saying bye bye to the likes of Noswank :)

Wait a minute, who sanctioned the signings of these spineless players? I'll give you a clue, it was the board

You're going to university with spelling like that?

This post is the most convincing argument yet for fewer university places.

Hold on. Are you saying that it's the board who decides which players we buy and which we ones we don't? I thought that was something to do with the manager. Well there you go. Learn something new every day.

No, he said the board sanctioned those signings, not chose them.

So is it the manager's fault for choosing them or the board for sanctioning them? How are the board supposed to know a good player from a bad one (I know we all know better than any Manager we've ever had, but they're not fans so they won't have a clue)? Surely they just look at if the sums add up, i.e. can we afford the player?

But it appears we couldn't doesn't it?

Unfortunately, I don't think the sinking has finished yet and if and when we do go down, we may have to settle for a year of consolidation before we start to think about coming back up (mystery investment aside).

Providing he's fit, I don't think we'll have any problem offloading Hendo, Ched will head off to Norwich, Monty to Leeds, anyone else who doesn't fancy it will be shipped out and MA will have his squad stripped down and ready for a re-build.

We may strike lucky, hit the ground running and do a Leeds but more likely flirt around like Charlton or Southampton for a seaosn or two, then, who knows.

Allowing Micky to re-build his own squad now scares me...

Bent, Collins, Doyle

Shiver!

Bent was a short term panic move, the other two were cheap additions but again, probably forced by the situation as much as anything. Don't forget both were involved in Leeds' Div 1 promotion team ;)

The Big Ernies are here to stay unless we can pull some quality salesmanship on some poor Chief Execs.

Brilliant!! So we won't see an improvement till the 2013/14 season. Those lot won't take Div1 by storm. And we won't be winning the Paint pot cup with either.

I apologise for the atrocious spelling, I was short of time when writing it.

In regards to the signings and the board, what I meant was, yes the board sanction the signings but the managers that have been brought in were poor decisions. This coupled with the unbelievable contracts that have been given to the player’s means we are royal screwed for the next season at least!

I find it very hard to believe that we will "do a Leeds" and I am also struggling to find any assets that we will actually see some type of breakeven of what we paid. I think the signings Micky has made are obviously questionable as there is no doubt that they are not good enough for the championship. However the question is will they be good enough for League 1, I actually think that they may be able to pull their weight there.

It could easily take 3-4 years to come back. Even though I think we could have a season similar to the pigs next year i.e. wrong end of the table and can't win away, who knows what could happen in 3 years time?
A new manager could be installed who finally gets it right and we could find ourselves making our way out of L1 as champions in 2014. Who knows, but I think for certain next year will be shite. I just hope we bottom out there.

But on the other side for you, there is plenty of places for you to go out and get completely mullered with Mr Kelly next season!

the thought of it all is starting to depress me-utd in the 3rd division.......out fucking rageous

Personally I'm more worried about the chance of 4th divison, especially considering our current squad

No club is too big to get relegated. Sure there have been plenty before us and plenty more after us. Lets stop thinking that we have some divine right to be in the Championship and earn the right on the pitch where it actually counts.

Who was that aimed at? Have you spotted a rare fan who thinks we're not going down:D? Nobody thinks we're too big. Everyone thinks it's happened already.

That one made me chuckle. It used to be the equally nonsensical divine right to be in the Prem when no-one on planet earth has ever said United have a divine right to be there either.
I look forward to the 'let's stop thinking we have the divine right to be in League One' posting next season though.

Indeed there is Mr Brown, no doubt I shall see you at some point sir!!!

We're already Down, With the squad we have next season, we could drop again. I have absolutely no faith in the current squad or squad selection.

We can't perform in any such consistent way, on the pitch, constantly changing Our stance, whether way go 2-0 up or concede a goal. It's all hands at Panic stations at the very change of any script on ythe pitch and we just don't adapt. We play like a bunch of strangers and until the Board, KM and every single backroom staff and Manager take responsibility for the wrong decisions being made, we will not get any further forward.

We need to clear the Decks..... That will only happen after the numpty's up top go!

Until then, I'll go, Cheers the team on and have a good day out. I stopped caring about results long ago. I just go for the day out now
