Im sorry but personally I think that anybody who thinks the blades will go straight back up if we go down is diluded.
League 1 at this time is a harder divsion to get out of than the championship. This is by far the easiest i have seen the championship to get out of, and yet another reason why i have been so dissapointed with this season.
League 1 has many more decent clubs who are going at it for promotion. The derby is something of a plus. But there is no way we will get any 3-0 wins next season.
To me such signings as Michael Doyle and collins show that we are looking for League one as they are no way near at the pace for championship level.
Next thing is all these comments about a clear out? In all honesty who do you think is going to buy any of our players? Henderson, williamson (possible but very injury prone), and yeates + ward are the only i can see going and realistically hendo, willo, and yeates are the kind of players we will need to keep. No one will buy the rest because they arent good enough. This includes Ched as the lad is thick as a plank and will never be a decent striker. There will be no clear out and going down to league one will seriously fuck us over - for lack of a better word.
I can only see it going one way, and thats down. Poor finnancial management (selling of players and setting of wages) along with poor managerial appointments has cost us dearly and it will be a long time before we are back up competing for a premiership place.
I am also very sick of anybody who slags off McCabe for "where has all the money gone" and all this rubbish about him pocketing money. What most people can't grasp is that this is his money he has put into the club and at the end of the day the club is a business. I think McCabe has made poor decisions about the timing of selling players along with seriously poor decsions with the mangers brought in. Anybody blaming McCabe for taking money out of the club etc is diluded as I am positive they would not be saying the same if it was their money they were putting in.
I think Adams is the man for the job and i think all we can do is back him as he finds himself with the worst squad possible to work with, the signings he has made will be good enough for league one as that is obviously where we are heading. The finger should be pointed directly at the players and these shouts of "sack the board" are pathetic as i said poor decisions have cost us dear, however everyone makes mistakes. The players however are spineless, i thought at the weekend quinny showed signs of what he is and has been capable of and Risee was quality (this coming from a player who is not owned by the club showing the most fight). The question is to Mr Quinn along with the rest of the team - where are your bollocks, as the team lacks any passion or fight.
Last thing i will say is that I am 18 and off to Uni next year. This obviously means that i have not been to as many games as alot of you who post on here but whether its league one or championship next year i will be getting a season ticket just so i can watch my club as i will be closer to the blades (living in Midlands at the moment) - no matter how poor the situation. One thing I am looking foward to is saying bye bye to the likes of Noswank
