(A). Create chances Billy will score goals at Championship level (admitidly just like Jordan Rhodes would)

(B). Billy does far more off the ball than a Lot of people give him credit for (unlike Jordan Rhodes who doesn't)

I'm all for the Billy love-in after his heroics for us over the last couple of seasons. But his penalties are poor and I hope someone takes them off him.

No way would Billy refuse to take a penalty in a Playoff Semi, Final or even World Cup Final.

Most of the supposed anti-Billy stuff exists only in a few posters' imaginations. A criticism of certain aspects of his play is not tantamount to being anti-Billy. Conversely, the lauding of Billy as someone who can do no wrong is also nonsense. What Billy is, and this is important, is that he is the club's talisman. It's his presence in addition to his goals which give him the X-factor.

I've always thought he was too slow based on his first two spells at the club

I would however conceed that if you pick him for fifty games at this level he will score twenty goals it's just that for thirty of those games he will contribute nothing

At the moment he is our best option by a long way but he goes for long spells without scoring and if he isn't then who will ?

Must admit Im not much of a stats man ,you can dress them up anyway you like ,but I think you are being unfair on his contribution ,Billy works very hard and sets up plenty of moves both for his partner and the ball back into midfield. I personally don't think Sharp/Clarke works ,but I know which one I would always pick. If he had pace he would not be playing for us as his talent in front of goal is top quality.

Yeah you're right and I hate to come Across as critical especially seen as we would be rock bottom without his goals so far this season

Just bring honest in my thoughts on him mostly before last season
