A few massive leaps of faith here but let's assume we decide to pick a much changed line up for whenever the league cup begins. I'm seriously impressed with the depth and ability Chris has managed to assemble.

My assumptions are this - Lunny plays the backs to the way away games in a flat 3 but perhaps gives way at home. McGoldrick is rotated with the other strikers so no slight on either here. Morrison and Mousset still looking for match sharpness.

McGoldrick Mousset

Some great experience and ability in there.

Just goes to show what an incredible job Chris, Alan and Paul have done.

I was speaking with my Dad about this and he was questioning who Wilder would leave out and noted that it was surprising so many new lads didn't make the XI on Saturday.

So many are interchangeable. It was my worry that we would skimp and leave Chris with a good first XI but poor options beyond this. When Hulse got injured last time, it was clear we were in trouble. I don't think Chris has made the same 'mistake'. So credit also to the Board.

Buzzing for the rest of the season!

I would like to see the new keeper get a game in, just to remind Henderson that he needs to be on top of his game. Worth bearing in mind, that a few of those names might already be called up for PL duties by the time the cup games come around. Injury and loss of form could create gaps. Another reason to praise the squad depth. :)
