Late night thoughts about the upcoming season...

As someone else said our results post lockdown weren't the disaster that it may have seemed, we did after all beat three ' fancied" teams and draw at Burnley, IF we still have the current squad together we should do all right. If I'm honest I'm a bit concerned that O'Connell might be sold, because I don't think Robinson comes anywhere near O'Cs ability, although I may be wrong. I hope I'm being overly negative in my previous sentence ? Thoughts ?

Didn't we beat spurs chelsea and wolves 3 top 7 clubs in post lockdown
My we were poor weren't we
You could argue the 3-0 win over Chelsea was our best win of the 21st century

Wow you have got a boner on eh a real crusader

Looks to me like Worksop II has shot you down in flames ha ha
Not really what thats about, tho understandable :)

We have a solid and open Judgement about what went off 2015 - 2019, no need to guess any longer about what did or didn't happen

Judge Fanners has the only opinion that matters

Not at all but I wouldn't expect you to understand that. That is reference to the partnership -why am I even explaining this to you? I'd get more understanding from talking to my dog. In short if the club hadn't come into the hands of McCabe (and nobody else wanted to take it on with spiralling debts) we'd have gone down the Bolton route before they did, he kept us solvent.

That is true from an ownership point of view but I'm sure there is more than just me who are thankful that we have a solvent football club and not one saddled with debt on 12k attendances in whatever league we would have ended up in without being constantly baled out.

Never heard as much 💩 in all my life, the comparison to Bolton is far fetched even for someone as deluded as yourself. Most fans by now have come to realise what McCabe is (I was right all along btw) yet we still have one or two dope's who think the sun shines out of his arse while he is still trying to hold the club back by hanging on to land behind the kop. Hard to believe he still has some supporters .................. fucking hell.

God i hate that "No bigger blade than me" bastard.

What an amazing comeback, no defence of your pathetic position on McCabe because as all sensible people can appreciate he has done more for this club than anybody other than Wilder in the last 40 years. You seem to forget the lengthy list of previous owners misleading and screwed up efforts (similar to your own attempt to construct an argument) that had left this club in debt and ready to face year after year of cup runs being the most we could hope for. I'd really like to go to town on you and your appetite for dissing the man who has kept Sheffield United a viable entity over the last 20 years but already feel I am bullying you, no doubt you have a substandard education you can call on to justify your miserable and pathetically wrong views.

Well done to Mr McCabe for being somewhat better than his absolutely dreadful predecessors.

There's one other factor not discussed thus far...

If the persistent rumours are to be believed, we have at least two first teamers self isolating, likely to miss all the pre-season games and will be getting their first taste of first team football since the end of last season football against Wolves opening day. Also several players away on international duty. The Wolves game will be the first time we will have the entire squad available to play together (notwithstanding other players testing positive for Covid in the interim).

I'm not concerned at all about the lack of incoming players. I know from 4 years experience that it's best to trust the manager. Anyone remember the panic when we sold Lee Evans?..... but who's going to play in midfield, we're doomed....... oh we've signed Ollie Norwood. He didn't take long to 'bed in' to our style of play either did he?

I'm saying the same about our prospects before this season as I did before last season, I just think we'll be alright. Last season we were more than alright and it's worth noting that our league position has improved every season under his majesty, Chris Wilder.

If Dean Smith had been manager of Villa at the time, they'd have signed Norwood, not us.

My biggest worry is that the teams who hang on in there at he bottom half of the table year after year, will see how successful Mr Wilders methods have been and not only put up their prices but also start a bidding war for the kind of players he is after.....

I doubt most people who have considered what McCabe has done for the club agree with you.
yet we still have one or two dope's who think the sun shines out of his arse
Nobody thinks that, we've all seen the mistakes he's made but sensible fans appreciate if he hadn't stepped in when he did the club would've been in trouble.

while he is still trying to hold the club back by hanging on to land behind the kop.
No he is not trying to hold the club back, he wants paying for something he bought at a separate time from the rest of the assets, wasn't included in the decision of the court and he should get a fair price for.
To make it easier for you to understand (but I'm sure you really don't want to :) ), imagine you bought a house and an allotment at the side of it, you sell the house then the buyer insists the allotment was in the sale, you don't just let him have it you expect him to make a reasonable offer for it.
You haven't come up with a single argument backed up with anything except your bluster. Come up with a reasoned argument and a debate can be made sadly I think this will be above you.

We know all about the court judgement and that the Prince would have to purchase the assets from SUL sadly McCabe pulled a fast one and split both plots of land from the stadium and formed a new company to own them so he could hold the club to ransom and squeeze a bit more money out of United. What a cunt eh. But anyway this has been done to death it will all be written in history, one that will see McCabe as the best of a bunch of useless United owners/chairmen before Chris Wilder got him out of jail. Maybe you'd prefer to go back to supporting a club that annually sold it's best young players and made redundancies to make ends meet. Until the Prince invested we were actually in a lower division than when McCabe became owner that about sums up the McCabe years despite the bullshit of "hey there's no bigger Blade than me".
And that is my last word on the subject it is boring now just going over old ground.
