Last night's MOTM

Did I hear correctly - McMahon, really? Apart from one excellent challenge, I don't think that he did anything to catch the eye and his dead-ball kicks were consistently poor. Based on what I read about him before he came, I've been very disappointed so far.

We were discussing MoM on the way home. There were several suggestions, McMahon wasn't one of them.

Thought he played well, had a bit of a tussle with Harley, but also gave a good honest, committed performance. Plus one cracking tackle.

McMahon did ok. Fairly solid game and made a fantastic tackle in the second half. I feel the MOTM award should really have gone to Maguire. Failing that.....Collins or Porter.

Hill and Williams were bloody awful first half, though admittedly much improved in the second.

McMahon was solid throughout, put in one excellent ball that Porter should have scored from and made a goal saving tackle on Harley.

I'd give the latter 7 out of 10 and the former two 6s. Mind you, I partly blame Wilson for their poor performances. Williams is not a a left sided midfielder and should be nowhere near that position.

Very easily.
I thought Maguire was head and shoulders (literally in most instances) above anything else on show. There were seven of us discussing it in the pub after and no-one came up with an alternative (which is unusual to say the least).

Reminded me a bit of Freeman at Stevenage, excellent close control and quick feet. Just the type of player we miss.

Anyone suggesting Williams as MOTM needs their eyes testing. He offered nothing. Sweet FA. Delivered nothing. I'd be hard pushed to give him anything above 3/10. Pathetic.
