Before or after (I don't have the answer but I think Dellas is probably the most likely imho)

Ian Rush and Traianos Dellas are the only two obvious answers.

Gordon Cowans and Franz Carr both played in Serie A but neither of them scored.

EDIT: Cowans did actually score for Bari in the mid 80s.
