If he had the work ethic to work on a building site he'd still be in the PremMoose is going to be on a building yard somewhere by the age of 30 telling people about when he played in the Prem.
He fell lucky*. Got the nove to a good team and broke into the England setup.Enjoyed watching that. Don't keep us in suspense, though - tell us what happened to Ramsdale.![]()
Henderson wasn't 'tricked' into anything. He & his advisors demanded pay increases & contract improvements from 2016 onwards. Man Utd gave him everything he/they wanted. He thought that he was the best GK in Europe in 2020 and demanded £120k a week. He got it and priced himself out of a move or loan.He fell lucky*. Could've happened to Henderson, but he was tricked into staying at Man Utd instead of moving on.
*I like Henderson, but not Ramsdale.
Will he need to work after football?Moose will end up in a McDonalds one way or another. Such a waste of talent.

Both, there's enough of him.In a burger or sausage ?
A succinct dissection of Henderson’s career, and spot on.Henderson wasn't 'tricked' into anything. He & his advisors demanded pay increases & contract improvements from 2016 onwards. Man Utd gave him everything he/they wanted. He thought that he was the best GK in Europe in 2020 and demanded £120k a week. He got it and priced himself out of a move or loan.
He would've been better served to have stayed on the £50k a week that he was on, had another season on loan with us and then consider his options. He didn't he & his advisors chose a different path. Having played the best part of 130 games from 2017 to 2020, he's played 30 since. In the same time frame, Ramsdale has played 100 PL games, played in Europe, gone to the WC and looks to be winning the PL. He's basically stepped in and stolen his career. I suspect Henderson currently feels about Ramsdale, like Gary Barlow did when he heard Robbie Williams was doing 3 nights at Knebworth.
Henderson's just turned 26, he's behind Navas at Forest, I doubt he'll play for Man Utd again due to rumours of his attitude, and he's wasted the last 3 years of his career warming benches. Pope is 30, Pickford in 29 & Ramsdale 24. That's the next 4 to 6 yrs of England GK's sorted. I've got as much chance of being England's No. 1 as he has.

Agreed. Whilst he was excellent for us and obviously bought into what we were doing at the time, his arrogance was always visible. This has resulted in what you’ve described above where he’s now on an over-inflated salary that nobody will touch.Henderson wasn't 'tricked' into anything. If he's been on £120k a week for 3 years, that's £18m before tax. Let's say £9m after tax and let's say he's spunked half of that. He's still sitting on £4.5m. As such, he could take a 50% pay cut to be first choice at a middling PL team and barely notice it.Agreed. He has got a bit unlucky too. His injury at Forest for example.
His best hope is a successful loan move and then a permanent move following an excellent season somewhere.
I’d take him next season again, if we wouldn’t be too much on the hook for his wages.
