Tbf he didn’t, he said he hopes all the hard work pays off and it leads to 1/2 before Swansea

This is what worries me also - thats a huge amount of players needed at this stage. I'd say as a bare minimum it needs to be 2CB's, 1RB, 1DM, 1 Winger.
I simply cannot see us even managing that. I also think 4/5 out of 7 need to be starting players - its only going one way at the minute

I was also led to believe that they have money, or at least did have unless things have changed.
They must be v short sighted if they cannot see that losing 9 / 10 players all capable of playing first team football and only replacing them with two (Biden and Barry) and expect them to achieve better than last season is asking too much .
You do not have to understand football you just have to have a modicum of common sense.

Which was the freak result? Because if you mean Bristol, we lost that one because our defence was absolutely wank and we lacked cutting edge up front. If you don’t take your chances and you gift other teams goals, you deserve to lose.

Window should shut before the season starts, it’s madness going through this every year whilst playing games.

I agree but whilsoever the European leagues start after us the PL will not move the closing date of the window as they risk losing their best players when they cannot replace them.
Why the EFL cannot go in a different direction is there to be discussed.

If someone looked at the match stats, they’d think we won 4-1, but as we all know there is only one stat that matters, the score line.

I’m not overly concerned with the performance, it’s just the defence, but we all knew that was a problem before the match even kicked off.

If we were playing 4-4-2 as our main system I may agree with you, but we've set out to play 4-1-4-1 so far. With Campbell, Cannon, and One we have three options for the CF spot. We only have Soumare who can (hopefully) play in the CDM role at the moment. Hamer and O'Hare can't play that role and Peck, Blaster, and Davis are all more box to box. No idea what Shackleton is (OK, I've got some idea but it's nothing to do with football).
