Rumoured to be on his way to Manchester United in the summer for £20m.

The next question is one that you've all already just asked in your head before even getting to this part of the post; Do we have a sell on clause?!

that would surprise me if he went. I'm not sure he's good enough to be honest but I wish him all the best, he's a proper blade even now.

It's a little known 'fact' that since the lack of such a sell on clause in Kyle Walker's contract, all future sales will be made to where a 'wolverine' costume in order to prevent this ever happening again...

Here is Scougall modelling his, in anticipation of his move..

Good luck to him, he conducts himself in the right way and he's still only young. However with the current state of Man U, would it be a good move??

Yes

1. More money
2. More likely to win trophies over the next few years
3. More likely to be in the champions league next season

I recon he'd fit into the RWB role better aswell with more freedom to be attacking and get fairly consistent first team with Valencia getting on a bit.

Because he came back on loan to us? Stayed that extra year? He was older than those two as well I think...
Il shud up and let georgebernardshaw answer himself
Kyle walker played a couple of matches for us, then went on loan. He only came back because after Spurs signed him, they let us have him back for the season. I really don't know what this has to do with Jordan Slew and Diego De Girolamo reading this thread.

i think he would be a great player for Man U.

When fit surely hes the first choice RB/RWB for England as well?

Kyle walker played a couple of matches for us

2 league, and I think 3 or 4 in the cup (??), enough for one prescient poster to write (June, 2009):

we have the two Kyles fighting out for the same right full back position. They are both amazing players, I'd say Naughton looks a bit more dangerous in possession but Walker looks the better defender. If you were to force me to chose between the two I'd probably plump for Walker.

p.s. yes, before you ask, I am available for immediate start to work as a scout for a Premier League club, all travel expenses paid and an annual salary north of £1,000,000 :)

When Kyle N was sold to Swansea, Spurs made quite a big deal out of the fact that Kyle N was valued higher than Kyle W in the £10m they paid us for both players This meant that they deemed they had made no profit in teh Swansea transfer and so the sell on clause was not applicable.

Therefore, in my mind, so long as we had the same "Profit related" clause for Kyle W - we should be quids in........theoretically!!!

I meant money aside, let's face it he is a very well paid player but Man U seem in transition at the moment, to the point where had we have beaten Preston we fancied our chances.

They are still top four and lost one in 19. Any side with their attacking options will be successful.

Also, this should not be the case at all, but if Walker plays regularly for Manchester United he will almost certainly become England's first choice right back.

EDIT - to clarify I mean who you play for in the top half of the Prem should not influence England selection, not that Walker should not play for England.

spurs if you remember cut his loan at xmas and he proceded to play for villa in the FA cup and scored against us redknapp took him back when we had an agreement to keep him for the season

Wasn't meant as a smartarse comment, Wiz - I thought that Jordan Slew was very badly advised, and Diego might suffer the same fate.

Kyle Walker is much more talented than either of them, but his family and advisers saw him through what is a difficult period in footballers' careers, and he's now rightly reaping the benefits.

Bit confused on chronology there :-)

We flogged him in summer 2009 and Spurs immediately loaned him back to us, apparently for the rest of the season. He was our regular right back until Jan 2010 when Spurs recalled him.

He was on loan at Villa the following season and scored for them at the Lane in teh cup on 8th Jan 2011.

Take this from me mate, but jordan slew wasn't badly advised by his agent, its the agents job to get the best deal for the player should a player have desire to further his career with another club, the deal was great, slew just wasn't good enough to get a shirt, that's down to the player...

Remember not all of those players from the youth team had agents, and because of this some don't play professionally anymore, wont name any names but one of them I knew thinks slew got a great deal, and he also put it down to the lack of an agent that he had to give up playing...

Intriguing, Tez. I'd be interested to know why he thinks that - specifically the balance of reasons why he isn't playing anymore (not good enough Vs lack of agent).

So ignoring the fact that the agent hawked his client around almost the entire football world, a contract at Blackburn is still a good deal?
