Or maybe that's all a load of bollocks that someone's edited on paint.

Not saying it is BTW. Might be a very genuine guy.

Just take it with a pinch of salt.

It is his other half and the screenshot matches what I've been told.

Get a transfer request in like our Ricky!

Have we put a bid in for him? I assume he's under contract or MKD couldn't hold onto him. Do we think we can sign players under contract now without paying a transfer fee?

I suppose, if we are going to be paying fees for two or three prized players, this would be one where the risks would be minimal.

Yeah, he's 29. But as a centre-half (who's played consistently well at this level for a few years now), he's got plenty of years left in him. (Witness Gareth McAuley's excellent performance as a 36 year-old yesterday.) And no question at all about him having the best interests of the club at heart. He'd provide leadership, a bit of devilment, and strongly contribute to forming that bond between club and fans.

A no-brainer really if MK could somehow be persuaded to let go (& if the club are willing to swallow a reasonably hefty fee). He'd almost certainly be very, very good value.

Wouldn't half provide a fillip in this uncertain pre-season & send out a message that we really do mean business.

That's assuming that we really do "mean business" this year ......

I've seen nothing, so far, which supports that assumption. Admittedly its still early-ish but we haven't really demonstrated yet that we are looking to challenge for the top two spots in L1 .....

I mean Charlton are seemingly identifying players, and sorting out deals quickly, while we are waiting for everyone to come back from holiday.
I think thats a joke-like waiting for them to return from the euros mate, and has gotten as old as the fax machine one.
Wider might have had first choice on them all, maybe we didn't think they were worth the asking price.

It's clear Wider spoke to most of them but "speaking to a player" doesn't always translate to "begging them to choose us"

I agree, Wilder in charge of the budget (old school), and will not pay a penny more than he feels a player is worth.
Good to hear him say 'plenty more fish in the sea', when asked about Revell and Holmes on Sheffield live with Alan Biggs.

Well Treeton, lets hope his rod aint an old garden cane with a bit of string dangling off it with no bait on it.
Big weeks coming up re signings to determine how much big Blade Kev wants out of this shit league.

Im sure it was Revell that he said he wouldn't lose any sleep over, which I thought was brilliant. He sounded very interested but doesn't seem to mind losing his target if the deal doesn't completely suit us.
I just hope that if he does have ONE main target he does go that extra mile to tie him up.
