kyle bartley [confirmed]

Signed in time for the cup game tomorrow as well. Shaping up nicely now the defence is beefing up.
Thought Ertll looked a solid performer on Sunday so Bartley will fit in nicely with maybe Ertl adding a bit of steel in midfield.

Blackie was in SSN elarier stating that we only had 13-14 to name for tomorrow with the international call ups, injuries and suspenders. Worryingly he mentioned that Jordan is not fit in the same sentence as Nos.

Anyone know if the Dickinson loan is still going to happen. Taylor looked distinctly short of pace against Cardiff.
 



Happy with this signing and it looks like KB has his back four now with Taylor, Ertl, Kozzy and Lowton as cover.

Would still like to see another wide midfielder come in.

I think the Jordan signing means that we won't be persuing Dicko now, maybe Bob knows better !

Just seen Jordan on BW and it's only a slight calf strain and he expects to be back in training next week.

Yep, a bit short on numbers tomorrow, I expect Chappell and Kingsley will feature and it also gives us a chance to give Kozzy and Yeates a full game meaning the whole (available) squad will have had a run out which isn't a bad thing.

Who is your right back? Nosworthy? (Jordan, Morgs, Bartley, Nosworthy) Blackie said Nosworthy was here as a centre back, I suspect Bartley may have to bide his time for a few games till the inevitable injuries kick in.

I think for QPR it will be Taylor Morgan Ertl Kozluk more to with injuries and suspensions though.

PS - Still think Kozluk won't be in the squad? ;-)

I know he said he bought Nyron for CB but I don't think he's brought Kyle in to sit on the bench either (and I don't think Wenger would have let him come here withut some kind of assurance of regular games). So I reckon it'll be Nyron for RB with Kyle III and Morgs in the middle which I think is probably a better pairing anyway.

Kozzy won't get anywhere near the squad once they're all fit and you know it :)

Normally I would agree with you about Nosworthy but Blackwell was uber insistant in his interview a few weeks ago when Nyron signed.

I have some sort of hazy recollection of Bartley playing woefully at full back for us when we were down to the barest of bare bones. I do actually think Bartley will start on the bench, but I think his loan here is more about him getting him used to be being a first team squad member and training (and getting kicked) by the likes of Morgan & Hendo et al.

Morgan will probably do his ligaments anyway soon so I'm sure Bartley will somehow manage to play loads of games.

As for Kozluk - I think you are kidding yourself if you think we'll be having fit seasoned pros not in the 18, we have a tiny squad!! Ignoring the long term absentees (Hendo, Williamson, France*) it will be

He's just been interviewed on Radio Sheffield. Sounds like a very level headed guy. Referred to us as 'Sheffield' a couple of times but he also said 'us' and 'we' quite a few times too so I'll forgive him.

Sounds like he has a northern accent. Anyone know where he's from?

We sign a decent player on loan, and that's not good enough! Thought this sort of grumble was left to lenners, it would appear not! Jog on!
 



A decent signing in my opinion.Looked a fair player last season.He's young,so will make the odd mistake,but must have something to be on Arsenal's books in the first place.It does go against what Blackwell quoted as saying he wanted permanent signings rather than relying on loans though.But beggars cant be choosers.
