He's a good player on his day, don't think he would be right for us, not with our ambition![]()
Was only reading yesterday that Neil Lennon (signed him for Celtic) is after signing him for Bolton.
Seems to have more logic than us wanting him.
He'd play wide left wouldn't he? Freeing Murphy up.
I remember him having a stormer for Stoke at the Brittania against us many years ago. He gave Kozluk nightmares but Kozzy got a goal back and we snatched a draw.

Lennon utilised Commons in a central attacking position just behind Anthony Stokes and Leigh Griffiths and the 30-year-old regularly found himself in goalscoring positions.
"We do use the formation to accommodate Kris as best we can," Lennon said.
"He is better centrally than on the wing, he is far more productive, because he can open teams up with a pass or change games with his finishing power as well. He has really delivered in that position."

November 2003, Commons was brilliant and Stoke went 2 up at half time. Kozluk pulled a goal back. Pulis then took Commons off which was a relief. Jack Lester's penalty in the last min made it 2-2He'd play wide left wouldn't he? Freeing Murphy up.

Yeah i remember that game - Stoke thugs waving fists in me and Small's face (he was 8 at the time) after our last gasp penalty equaliser. Twats the lot of 'em !
Unfortunately for us, my mate drove and parked the car somewhere where we ended up walking back amongst the Clayheads. We didn't have shirts on but they knew we were blades - they were also actively looking for Blades in cars amongst the built up traffic jam. I hate Stoke. That's right, I was on a coach that day and we were kept in the car park for about half an hour so the Stoke fans couldn't get at us!

Was that when Windass was playing? Someone in front of us said, "He's got a windy ass". Found it hilarious.
Different game then!Windass didnt play for us again after the Forest semi final play offs 6 months earlier
