What's our latest batch of pathetic excuses?
This summer has been a major failure when we knew from four months ago where we'd be.

Typical, boring, predictable rubbish.

Months ago we didn't know Kenny would leave. Or that we'd be able to offload Sharp. We've probably been hoping to offload Henderson. We didn't know if Monty of Morgan would sign. A few months ago the transfer window wasn't open. We didn't know the income from season ticket sales. We still don't. As many questions we have, so did the clubs we needed to do business.

Transfer business is an ongoing beast, not something you plan and execute months in advance. If you don't know this, you're clueless, if you do know this your post is as pathetic as all the others. Another great job on the attention seeking front mind.....:)

You see, I thought it was as you said they were putting us to shame?

They are putting us to shame by making good signings for League One? How does this work?

Surely the only way they'd be putting us to shame is if they were signing players we were competing for, interested in or would get in our team?
Remember this is Len who grumbled about the Ward signing only to now backtrack.

Len has us as favourites for a relegation scrap this season, and has already said we'd sell less ST than Wednesday by our renewal date.
Lets just remember these quotes about Britton and Bogdanovic and put them with the ones about Bartley and allow him make himself look foolish again.

On short forget it Jake, its Chinatown.

Of course, and last season we couldn't understand why we were playing nearly 40 players - just like all those other clubs who couldn't work out what day of the week it was.
Must just all be bad luck. We haven't had a clue about who's going to play for us and other teams do.

How ever many times you say it Bob, it isn't going to make it true.
Ward was a sensible signing as was said at the time.
How many similar, sensible signings have we made since?
Did we just know about Ward because he played 10 miles down the road? Is that as far as our scouts venture?

Nice try but I really think you can do better.

Very harsh that Alco - you heard what Trev and McCabe said at the forum and it aint happening.

Blackwell Out

It's a good no lose signing. He will be on modest wages and is only here for one year (opposed to the stupid wages we were paying out to Hendrie for three years).

He isn't as good as Naughton or Walker but sadly they've gone and we should look at the here and now. I doubt he's going to be first choice but will be patient and happy to wait his turn and fill in, and if he gets the shirt and has a stormer then great.

Not quite sure what is happening across the road with our neighbours, I've heard one or two things little snippets regarding their future which seem to clash with their spending spree. I wonder if they're signing all these decent (ish) players to give themselves more assets as to if and when they go into administration?

Hilarious that Walton and Kozzy have created a flurry of Blades saying the signings are no risk, no lose, win/win. It really is pathetic. How about signing a player with a bit more chance of a positive outcome?

Such thinking also ignores one of the problems from last season highlighted by Birch - too much money spent on loan signings or squad players, which inhibits our ability to spend money on fees/wages for better players. The Walton signing is an ideal example of such a deal.

Kozluk is slightly different as we actually don't have many defenders and he brings something to the table, ie he isn't Jordan Stewart or Jon Fortune, and he might have some upside (he can play on the left at a push, for example). I find it sad that we have sunk to the level where he is regarded as a useful addition, but there it is. By contrast, Walton is just a waste of money.

This is arguably the most embarrassing signing in living memory. Kozluk was appalling first time round and has hardly improved since he left.

Blacko the Clown signs Kozluk the Joke [No, I haven't missed the 'r' off by mistake]

So what you're actually saying is that last seasons:

"We couldn't plan because we were in the play-off final and didn't know which Division we would be in"

was a complete load of bollocks.

You should have said so at the time because a lot of people were quoting it all last season as the reason we weren't very well prepared.

There'll be some Pesky ones coming out soon, you watch.

Really dissapointed about Kozzy coming back, should put some faith in the youngsters instead.

What a load of utter crap, get a grip mate.

Kozluk was appalling first time round for 8 years? What planet are you on? Of course he wasnt, he was a very solid performer for us in both fullback positions for the vast majority of his time here. He was no world beater, but he very rarely let us down.

I question your football knowledge and judgement if you honestly think he was 'appalling' during the entire 8 years he spent here, and this 'arguably the most embarrassing signing in living memory'.

I'm more embarrassed about your ridiculous reaction. Sort yourself out son.

Sharpy, has anyone ever told you that you bear a striking resemblence to Rob Kozluk?

:)

He was utter shite laddie and learn some respect if you want a dialogue with me.

No he wasn't Its just you as usual not likeing our long serving players. What do you have against players staying at a club for a long time?

It gives them longer to demonstrate their ineptitude!

I admire players with real talent. Mediocre plodders are just that, whether they stay 10 minutes or 10 years.

Chris Morgan is a fine centre-back. I admire him and have said so previously.

Long service is neutral; Ability is the measure.

Kozluk was a very poor player. He is even worse now.

Our daft manager deserves players like Kozluk. You, me and 25,000 others deserve much better.

Don't put words in my mouth.. I was very critical of our lack of preperation last season. I'll be more so this season if we start how we are now. I can't get fluxed by what might be's and interprutaions of what certain words might have meant.

I'm saying that however hard you may want to put things into place, there are many factors you aren't in control of. The club should be careful with what they say because right now there's a significant minority of people who seem desperate for things to go wrong.

Yes but how long have you been watching the Blades to see the odd bit of good talent? It dont come along that often and as Blades we support the team more in hope than expectations. Thats not to say we shouldn't have them.

What shocks me most is that there is argument over whether Kozluk is a worthwhile signing. Fuck me, I thought I could start an argument in an empty room but there are some on here put me to shame.

I'm off for a lie down so I can think if there is anything left at SUFC worth caring about.

I think if Kozluk starts as our established right back next season, there'll be unanimous criticism. The only sensible debate is to whether he was worth bringing in as cover. If it's that he's here for then I'm happy enough. Those that aren't will generally be slitting their wrists if or when the pie suppliers are changed.

No one would pay £5M for a second tier right back in this financial climate - no matter how good he is!

I do see the logic behind what you're saying though.

Naughton went for £5 million last season when the climate was in a worse state.....

Anyway, if we're bringing Kozzy back, lets get Borbokis while we're at it..... might have some decent free kicks then.

Shame to see you sinking to the level of insane mumblings about pie supplies in the face of criticism about a top second tier club (yes, that's us) signing another cast off from Barnsley. Things must be getting to you.
