Rammed getting in with tickets people couldn't use.
Concourse chocker at half time, took all of it to go for a piss. Not helped by nobheads stood at top of steps vaping.
Great atmosphere though. Still need more to get out of their comfort zone and sing though, but overall very good.

Really not sure how the attendance was only 28k. Far fewer seats available than Saturday when we got 29k
Yep there is no way that there were/was 3k/4k empty seats in the ground last nite.technical knockout well we had a technical sellout, still had more in than Bristol City and we did not get "free scarves".

Given the ground capacity is nearly 33k I really do wonder where they reckon they could have put an extra 5k. 🤷‍♂️

So do we reckon same ticketig policy for Blackburn? Could they sell as many in the away end as Spurs? Hoping for £20 or £25 quid tickets but imagine it will be £30 given the club don't have a pot to piss in

I took the opportunity to move from my normal season ticket spot (already taken by someone within 2hrs of going on sale!) closer to the "singing section" of the kop (row TT, near gangway E) and it worked a treat. Had a right sing song! So anyone asking for a "singing section" just buy seats near the back between E & F and you'll be in your element. (better view from E side though).

I dare say it would have been even better if they'd not made the ridiculous decision to close the back few rows. Also the queue to get in the Kop was insane, missed the first 13 minutes of the match. More turnstiles need creating.

Not sure they could tbh! Probably manage the same as Wrexham, but I can’t see them shifting 6k.

We really need to sort something better out to maximise the number of home fans we can have at games. As well as selling the tickets better. It was a farce getting in again last night too.

I thought that was odd too. When I looked at the seating plan the home seats looked sold out apart from a few isolated single seats. There were more Spurs fans on the upper tier than the Wrexham game and of course the Upper Corner was empty. I was thinking 31K.

If we have to give away fans 15% of tickets then unfortunately it means that they have to have more than the bottom tier. For some reason, we can't seem to block off half the upper tier because in an ideal scenario we'd have half the upper and the corner too.

Agree about getting in, I used the turnstyles at the end of John Street for the Kop and queued from 7.30 and only just made kick off.

As other have said, the back 10 or so rows were cordoned off. Roughly the same number of people stood up (maybe slightly fewer), just 10 rows further forward. It was a strange feeling though to have the empty space behind, and it definitely affected the atmosphere as it didn't feel quite as loud as usual for these type of games/wins.

Plenty of people arrived to find someone was already stood at their seat, including me. Normally this wouldn't bother me and I'd just squeeze in, but under the circumstances it was a bit annoying. The stewards moved these people but they seemed to congregate in the aisle for the first 20 minutes or so, until a decision was made to open another row behind. This was the common sense approach and solved the problem.

Because last night all tickets had to be bought so club had a precise and accurate number to record

In league games they take full season tickets sale numbers (even if you don’t turn up) plus precise number of actual tickets sold - therefore it is often if not always an overinflated number for league games as not every season ticket holder always shows .

Is that true? I assumed they did it from the turnstiles

Must of been pretty full - I had to buy at ticket at 6 minutes to 8 last night (monumental cock up with ticket buying) and there was only 1 seat in the block I clicked on.
1 seat!

The missing 2,000 on the attendance figure has prompted the Prince to send an email to Liverpool....

'Will you accept cash?'

Those fuckwits were stood in the isles in H Block instead last night....Great atmosphere though!
We were in the lower/bottom tier of South Stand H Block and we had to stand up as everyone else was the whole match. No one in the aisle but some muppet lobbed a flare in front of us which never reached the pitch just hit the hoarding at the bottom and was quickly extinguished.

We were next to the aisle when we scored a load of blokes came storming down the aisle and started knocking people/rows forward one hit my son luckily I managed to grab him before he fell forward and was unhurt. There was a lot of drunken blokes, some were vaping, some even had beer in their hands. Stewards did nothing but they must have saw there were so many in that corner in front of us looking up at the crowd. You can tell the piss heads they have to go to the toilet every 5 mins.

Glad we dont sit there normally.

Why would anyone buy a ticket in H Block if they have a problem with standing & general livelyness? If you don't like this kind of thing it was extremely obvious the H Block wouldn't be the place for you for Blades V Spurs in the cup with back of Kop closed.

I like standing and general liveliness. I don't like being in a dangerously crowded area where I couldn't see half the pitch because a bunch of young fuckwits are jammed into an area they don't have tickets for. Maybe I'm just naive to think that because I can see H is lively but not filled with dickheads from my usual season ticket seat that it would be different for a Cup game where no attempt was made to have STHs in their usual places and there is no benefit for twats to go on the Kop because it's cheaper and it allows them to buy more coke

Maybe just my imagination but the Kop seemed to be overrun by students last night, predominantly Chinese and oriental lads and lasses.
There was definitely a different feel about it. Alot of non traditional football fan types. I think it's because it sold out last so all 'tourist' types were forced onto the Kop

The bloke i replied to said nothing about this. He said 'we were forced to stand up because everyone else was but nobody in the aisle'.
I have no doubt the lads who congregated where you were did so because people somewhere else were begging them to sit down

Entirely young lads who could easily have bought tickets together in the Kop, but chose not to do so and just bought anywhere in the South and got as close to the Spurs end as possible. Exactly the same problem which sees us not selling tickets on the Kop. People who had bought maybe their own season ticket seat? Fuck them. Find the culprits and ban the cunts

Not sure what this has got to do with my original reply.
If there was enough space for these lads to stand without someone behind them asking to sit down I'm sure they'd buy those seats, mind you.

I didnt know they stood up there they didnt at the Watford game previously. I normally sit in BLUT.

To you obviously but not to me. Last weekend at the Watford game the whole section we were sat in at the Spurs match were sat down for the Watford game. So no its not obvious to me. Also when I purchased the tickets the lower O downwards was the only section available. I didnt really say it was that much of a problem it was an enjoyable game but there were others around me complaining with young kids about people standing up.

I joined the South Stand queue on Bramall Lane at 7:35 and got in after 5 minutes. Farce.

if blackburn cant shift 6k tickets just coming over the penines for an fa cup quarter final theres somat wrong with their fanbase but im sure they will sell out

Blackburn have always travelled poorly. I cannot remember them ever filling the Lane End. Bolton, Preston even Blackpool have better away support.
