Adidas have asked for a £1.5b bail out from the German Government

Could impact on the 6 PL clubs they sponsor in terms of any due payments, which obviously includes us.

Fears over Adidas deals with Sheffield United, Arsenal and Man Utd

Sheffield United first teamed up with Adidas in 2014 and still has 18 months to run on its current deal

I buy direct from them and 25% discount is worth getting. Maybe that's why they've requested help as their online marketing strategy will only produce so much revenue. I don't need one more pair of Samba's as the one's I bought are full leather, brilliant product and I reckon will last me ages.

It’s these issues that may effect income on a big scale. Will Adidas when negotiating there next deal if there aren’t a few going quoting then the prices become lower.

Equally if Adidas are struggling cash flow wise I can imagine Nike taking over. Luckily for us we are in the premier league bubble where we will be a priority.

It’s probably won’t just be the kit suppliers either, you’d think companies will be looking to conserve cash and reduce advertising budgets. So the income from all club sponsorship could drop also.

I doubt we get paid much from Adidas anyway. id assume the sponsorship revolves around stock commitment, Nike arent interested in us but they should be, we fit in very well with their marketing story.

Umbro have just lost/given up a big contract so should have money/available should Adi decide to cut back

Adidas are the best, for me. It's not even much of a contest.

NB are alright. Nike are shite. Puma aren't great. Umbro isn't what it used to be. Under Armour are fucking awful.

I'd take a Kappa effort, but I'd much rather stick with Adidas if possible. I'm basically holding out for the day where they stick one of these on a Sheffield United shirt, so I can throw my money in the general direction of the club...
