I don't know who is more of a sad twit, blackydog for resurrecting this thread early on a Sunday morning just to post that or reytblade for wasting their morning bickering with them.
I am currently having a bubble bath and debating, my morning is going fantastically well.

The revolution never sleeps...

As much as I despise Channel 4 and most mainstream media outlets, I despise these cunts even more, so I will give it a cursory glance. Not expecting anything more than a royal belly-tickle, along the lines of Randy Andy's sweatless 'grilling' though.

My stance on hereditary succession is well documented on here. However, you might be surprised to hear I do have some sympathy for them, in that they are born and manipulated from day 1. They may have a super luxurious existence and untold wealth, but It is not a life I would want. Having said that I don't think they help themselves with their hypocrisy and greed.
High time it was confined to history. Both for their own good, and the country's.

Tonight one of them has a PR enhancing anti homeless show on itv over two nights. Meanwhile opposite Windsor Castle are homeless people that get moved on when they have a big royal event in town...

I like how you called in "anti homeless" like Theresa huge pro homeless movement lobbying against it

It's the little things that brighten your day

Sorry but what's the problem ?
Has he overcharged them by that amount ?
Or is he charging the going rate or maybe a reduced rate ?
I presume these charities shop around to get the best deal on renting premises, and are free to rent or buy somewhere else cheaper.
I can't see anything wrong with a billionaire (who has done nothing to earn even a penny of it) taking £22m from charities he is patron of.

Because as the monarchies' population with the population decreases further, more people will be cheesed off they are creaming money from causes that need the money, many of whom have received the money to help their cause, not line royalty pockets.

So why don't the charities move to something cheaper or perhaps they are getting a very good deal.

It's a fair question. Some of the charities have moved now to cheaper accommodation. This is just a small example though. The monarchy have much more sources, from which they receive money, such as offshore turbine farms.

Greedy bastards ,Have they not got enough already ?
Yes. So much, but still crave more. Having access to so many homes, whilst we have an homeless crisis. William paying lip service to homeless charities to promote his popularity. You would think they would show some empathy, but they seem devoid of it. Imagine being in such a position to actually push for positive improvements, but choosing not to.
You could argue they stay out of politics but that isn't true. You may already know this, but they have opt outs from laws we are subject to, if those laws affect their personal wealth.

Spot on man. Bunch of self interested leeches.

Too true. Lots of boarded up shops and we could do with some more charity shops to balance out all the Turkish barbers and vape shops. Or, they could just go online, that's a thing, right?

I've just watched that Channel 4 Despatches report. I knew the royals were sly, secretive bastards, but this is far worse than I was aware of. Shocking and disgusting. Profiting from MacMillan, Marie Curie and Comic Relief.
See if you can bring yourself to watch it.
Secretive royal finances

The Royal Family is charging the RNLI to launch their boats

The boats have to pay a fee to cross 'Duchy beaches' in Salcombe, Sennen Cove, the Lizard, Rock, Penlee and St Mary’s.

Other sources of income include six lifeboat stations owned by the Royal National Lifeboat Institute (RNLI) — a charity of which the King is patron — which have to pay £600 a year in total to use Duchy beaches in Salcombe, Sennen Cove, the Lizard, Rock, Penlee and St Mary’s.
