Killa

Hey up Foxy .............

just a bit of gossip ............ I hope !

What yer shud do and what does happen with these two hat agents is another thing. So they say ;)

"Two hat"... phrase of the month or something?

I agree I can't see any players in their right minds moving to Newcastle at the moment. Hopefully Killa is happy with us - his partnership with Morgs is as good as any in this division.

He had a 'mare on Tuesday I thought.
Distribution was poor and mistakes were creeping in - Morgan played better

I couldn't believe they'd sell Beattie at a loss, but they did.

I couldn't believe they'd sell both of our best young players at the same time, but they did.

Mr McCabe said at the fan's forum that he "hoped" Kilgallon would be a Blades player by 1 September.

According to further comments from Mr McCabe at the forum, if a player or player's agent wants the player to move, United are completely powerless and unable to prevent the player leaving, despite said player being under contract.

Given these facts, I would not be at all surprised if Kilgallon leaves before the transfer deadline.

I would only do business with Newcastle on a Money up front basis, preferably in used £10 notes.

£2m for a defender almost out of contract isn't bad business (he could sign in January for nowt).

All this isn't exactly coming out of the blue, so I do hope that a replacement is already in the pipeline?

(he could sign in January for nowt).

I think his contract expires in May - though January would be the last chance to sell him.

It may be "good business", but it will weaken the team in all likelihood.

Ok he could sign a pre-agreement to leave in May for nowt. It's always a difficult balancing act; do we keep him even though he's not signed a contract in order to keep the solid back four we have and then have no revenue from his sale for a replacement? Or do we cash in now, so we have the cash for a replacement and risk weakening the side?

People are already moaning about only selling Beattie for what we paid. Letting Killa go for nothing will illicit even more moans and groans! Can't win scenario??

It's a tough one, to be sure.

If it were up to me, and for some reason we had to sell, I would have tried to shop Killa on the basis that his contract was going to run out in the summer anyway, and not sell Naughton and Walker who were locked in for longer periods and who both have centre half potential. Too late now...

Beattie went for less than what we paid despite 34 goals in 62 games. I'm not surprised people moan.

There is a 3rd way with Killa - actually meet his wage demands, or offer close to them, although that strikes me as a highly unlikely scenario.

..of course we are assuming that Killa does actually want to stay!

i cant see Killa being sold to another championship side unless its for a large sum of money. If he is infact going elsewhere i would expect it to be either a prem club or alternative the celtic links that were being banded around.

If im wrong an he leaves to another championship club, then i think the uproar will be huge!

For £2 million I'd make him see out his contract.

If the fee was the reported £4 million from Celtic, I'd send him packing.

I dont trust McCabe. He will sell anyone he gets an offer for and is simply lining his own already over full pockets in my oppinion.

I don't agree with the lining pockets bit, but over the last 12 months we are certainly doing a fair impression of a club selling anyone we get a decent offer for.

I think more needs to be done to say no to any offers that come in.

The way McCabe was going on the other week he was almost saying that the player and agents are in control and their is little a club can do to keep players.
