Ultimately, a deal can be done for anyone if the offer is too good to turn down but if this was my shout it would be one I'd need to see crazy money for to say yes to. At the moment our cover for Freeman is a player who looks to be on his way out of the club and a player none of us has seen perform in a Blades' shirt. Freeman has just signed a new 3 year contract, he seems happy at the club and is a key member of the squad. As we stand at the moment the squad is short on the number we need for a full Championship + cups campaign - a few bodies coming in rather than another one going out should be our priority.
 
Agreed Paulus, if indeed Hudders are after him we need to extract maximum value. Transfer fees have gone mad and tbis is a premier league team to whom 5m is loose change.
 
Freeman was our second best scorer last season, he took a bit of time to get going but once he did (Gillingham away I think), he never looked back. Are we sure we want him to go?, I know money talks but unless a big offer, I would keep him.
 
If we let him go at all or if we let him go for owt less than £5 it will say a lot about the boards ambitions.

Here's how it usually goes, McCabe says once a players head is turned by a PL club we can't stop him going. So we let him go for £1m plus add ons and a sell on clause. Huddersfield play him when their regular gets injured, KF has a good few games, KF get sold for £15m. Harry, K2 DCL, Blackman et al all over.

He s just had a good season but I would swop him for Lolley tomorrow,no way will he score the goals he did last season and we can improve on his defensive abilities too.It might sound like I dont rate him but we have cover there and need strengthening in other areas
 
I really can't understand how people can say he is "easily replaceable" has nobody noticed how hard it seems to get signing across the line so far this season? Why make more hard work for ourselves? Personally I though on Saturday Kieron found himself in lots of space in the final 3rd and also looked solid defensively, but thats just my opinion.

I do scratch my head sometimes at our fans think that decent, hardworking and successful players are all of a sudden "replaceable" actually find it quite sad at some of the comments.

Freeman I feel has been the weakest player this year. He doesn't seem capable of getting past these championship standard defenders. Defensively he is okay. But I just keep thinking how Christie for Boro used his pace so many times to get them from defence to attack and I feel Baldock may be able to add that.
 
Freeman is a RWB. He is a very,very good RWB. He is Championship standard although held back by his inability to defend to a high standard. He has an eye for goal.

I very much doubt he is "easily replaceable". I haven't seen Baldock play,and neither have 99% of our supporters so no-one knows if he would replace Freeman in what Freeman can and does do.

I have never seen Jolley play. Neither I suspect have 99% of our supporters.

About 1,500 of us saw him play at Stockbridge and thousands against MK twice at least last season.

He's v good and I would suggest similar style. Faster and not as prolific though.
 
Why would a Premier League team but Freeman? They must have scouts. He's probably out 3rd best RWB.

He's a quality player as I'm sure you'll see. I'm not advocating selling Freeman btw as comments previously state. CW wants two good enough for each position which is certainly right.

I never said I had seen Baldock,which funnily enough is my point.
NO-ONE beyond our scouts have seen him enough to pass a relevant opinion. We all can re Freeman though!
 
Not quite 1% is it, 1500 saw him play against Stocksbridge, and we saw him play against us for MK Dons last season but let's be r8, no fucker actually mentally registered that he was playing.

3rd best? Good job you're not a scout then isn't it? Baldock and who else is 'better'? Let me guess...... Brayford. Him who's been crippled/past it for ages who can't get in our team and who no one other than Burton/Clough are interested in.

For what it's worth I think Baldock will end up first choice.

My point is that Freeman has been one of our poorest players this season, so far. I agree on the Baldock front but genuinely believe Brayford would be starting ahead of him if no falling out. Whether that's right or wrong.
