I have been looking around the net and saw that Freeman has gone out on loan to Portsmouth until the end of the season. It is not reported on United's website or on here yet. I cannot remember where I saw it . Does anyone else know about this?

McCarthy took Digby on loan and apparently wants him permanently despite him not being good enough for Barnsley. I think Ipswich are operating in some pretty tight financial constraints and as such, McCarthy is trying to find young players who have lost their way a bit with a view to resurrecting their careers. Freeman could fit that mould as most have acknowledged he as some talent/ potential but his attitude is the issue.

All rumour and hearsay really but apparently he dicked us around financially which is why we didn't sign him in the summer of 2014 (along with Mason Bennett). Then, when he lost his place to Brayford under Adkins and was loaned to Portsmouth there was talk of him not being fit (i.e. he'd let himself go in the 2 month period in between).

The lad clearly has some talent but I can't help but feel if his attitude was right, he would be making more of his career.

He's apparently in the BDC (Blades Drinking Crew). I can see him being a decent cover at a higher level. He was decent cover here. Defensively dubious, but so is Brayford at times. It's not stopped other right backs making the move upwards.
