I could be wrong but didn't Freeman playa few games on the left the first time he was here. As i remember it worked alright until he had to cross the ball. But if he is cutting in to shoot I think it worth a try

it's not just one goal though is it??Baldock has been possibly one of the players of the season.. however his end product is not as good as Freeman's.ymmv
 
Freeman is better in the final third but overall I prefer Baldock better defending more pace. He has been outstanding this season and Freeman should have to earn his place. Freeman had off days as do all players. Remember Freeman came back refreshed. Playing one on each side as already suggested could be the answer

one of them has 3 months to practice crossing on the run with their left foot :)
 
Personally, I find it staggering that the vast majority of ‘professional’ players are one footed! They should at least be able to cross, pass and shoot with their wrong foot. I am not saying be able to dribble, trick or bend but at least shoot pass and cross!
 
I'm pretty sure Freeman can play left back. Utilises both players who are equally as sound defensively.. Freeman just has the cutting edge in the final third. Playing both on both sides would be sublime.

Yes we can and a fluke at that. Or was it the fact that he has brilliant delivery. Just the thing we missed most of last season. As CW said this week, "pace can be over rated". It is how he plays in a team situation that makes Freeman the best choice for that position.
 
Freeman showed why he’s chosen ahead of Baldock today, we look far more dangerous with him on the right. Baldock is unfortunate that he’s competing with Freeman.
 
Whilst Baldock isn't a speedboat no driver, Freeman's final ball is better.
 
Is baldock injured?
We would raise over a million if we sold him, sure he will have clubs after him and if we get a good price we could put it to the striker fund

Bash or Leonard could fill in at r/b if need be
 



who needs forwards when you've got so many scoring midfielders and defenders..........

He was excellent today. Unlike some, I’m delighted when any or all of our players do well. I don’t pretend a favourite has excelled when they haven’t. I don’t pretend a player I’m less keen on has been poor when he hasn’t.

There isn't a problem to fans who KNOW Freeman is a wing back and Baldock is a full back.

Some can't see the difference - but Freeman MAKES the difference.

Freeman all day long IF we are to play with wing backs.

When it comes to Kieron Freeman, when he played in a flat back four until both Negative and Positive Nigel, he was an absolute liability and a player I wanted shut off as soon as possible.

I think with the switch to 3-5-2 with wing backs, he is the most natural wing-back I’ve ever seen, he does what he needs to at the back, and given the licence to drive forward he is some player.

I would even go as far to say that the loss of Freeman last season was just as critical as the loss of Coutts, even though Baldock is a great player, I don’t think he offers as much as Freeman

And Freeman is a shite full back but top class wing-back
 
He was possibly our MOTM today.

He has great attacking instincts. His timing is excellent and he just knows what spaces to move into, and how to use his body.

He's shown us what we've been missing in the final third with Baldock in his place - more so than I thought to be honest.

Today was an ideal game for our wing backs to excel though, that must be said. It will usually be harder than that.

Stevens is also looking far more like the player we saw early last season. Will be a huge boost if he can keep it up.
