Outgoing? Kieffer Moore

I was dreading seeing him play this season with the change of style.
Pre-season has confirmed that he doesn't fit.

If we even get half our money back it's a brilliant deal.

Fingers crossed we can put the funds towards signing a footballer.

If we are to play Liverpool esq with a fast moving 433 then Moore is redundant it’ll be interesting how Cannon gets on with things m guessing that if Moore goes we go for a fast mobile striker

Hanson was shite! He just didn't play enough for people to admit it. A bit like BBD last season. It took until around the play offs for most to admit how disappointing he'd been

Madine and McBurnie are the most recent good ones so you don't have to go far back really
Find this view staggering. Totally wrong. Hanson was signed to play a target man role and had it down to a tee.

Moore can clearly be a decent player at this level. The strange thing is that we only ended up playing a formation that suited him as a last resort when the wheels started falling off at the end of last season. He clearly doesn’t suit the way Selles wants to play. Needs replacing for sure but I’m okay with him going for that reason.

I can see what he brings to the party but his first touch is a lottery. I like having a target man to bring on if things aren't going well but I think it's an area we can find a suitable upgrade in if we really want to.

Gudjohnson looks a good shout if he's not expecting to be a starter. You'd think we'll probably use Campbell and Cannon as the two choices for the central forward with Oné getting minutes from the left.

It hasn't worked out for Moore here, he hasn't suited our style, we haven't played to his strengths. We barely whipped crosses into the box and we asked him to play a very isolated role up top, aside from they brief period in the run in, where he played in a two.

That said, he doesn't deserve some of the absolute pelters he's receiving on here. They're OTT, IMO. You could tell that he at least gave his all when he was on the pitch. A good, honest, hard working properly - it just didn't quite click. GLTTL if he's on the move.

Where’s the confidence around Gudjohnson coming from? He’s hardly played enough for anyone to have a view on him, certainly on here.
Is everyone simply going off his dad for their approval of this multi-million pound potential move?

It's enough for me 🤝

But, in all seriousness, I don't think I'm putting any great confidence in him - albeit he seems to have good pedigree as a youngster and making first team appearances already... Just it's potentially a spot to develop a young player that's going to play 20 mins every week (and as a different type of player to what we have, probably on much lower wages than Moore is too).

If we aren't going to use Moore as a first choice option, and I don't think we will, then it's a good idea to move him on - he will free up a lot of resources and potentially a fee.

I’ve never seen a professional player with such a slow touch. Everything on the deck is laboured and his decision making is abysmal.
He’ll thrive playing Parkinson ball he’s a better version of Ollie Palmer, Steven Fletcher etc. But I don’t think he suits Selles style.

Great post mate

Agree

His performance away at Blackburn was one of the best examples of all round CF play I’ve witnessed in many a year - he was unplayable that day

Granted there weren’t many more days like that - but he certainly doesn’t deserve the hammer he’s getting . Imo (and yours )

Agree

But he’s FAR better than Kiefer - say so many experts

Well, as they say - you can prove owt with stats.

Moore has a goal or assist every 2.7 games in the Championship.

Billy Sharp has a goal or assist every 2.4 games in the Championship.
I once birdied the first hole at Beauchief. Technically, that is the only time in a very short career in golf I stepped up to the tee under par.

AI works off “Big Data”.

How many games are in Billy’s data bank compared to Moores in that 2.7 vs 2.4?
