Outgoing? Kieffer Moore

My issue with Moore is what appears on the pitch to be a negative attitude in his body language. He looks to me like he's a moaner. Doesn't look interested unless it's an inch perfect pass directly onto his foot. Whenever there is a misplaced pass he never goes and makes thing's happen in our favour out of 50 - 50; 55 - 45 or 60 - 40 balls, he just remonstrates with the offending teammate and sulks. You'd think he'd be more understanding especially with his recent history of misplaced passes!!

I'm not advocating for a McBurnie return but in terms of attitude and commitment to the cause i'd take McBurnie over Moore any day of the week.

WTF is this obsession with McBurnie weve managed to get rid of him once
Hes not very good he misses for too many games through injury and suspension, he gives needless fouls away by trying to fight the opposition CB
His amusing social media persona gives rise to more credibility from a section of our fans than anything he’s ever done out there on the grass.

I don't want him back, but he wasn't that bad. Bit of a donkey at times and I never really trusted him in front of goal, but he won just about every header that came his way. He held up the ball well. He worked his arse off for us every game. A 5/10 player with a 10/10 heart.

He's on a free. Has an excellent recent record at this level (when fit).
He's a decent footballer on the deck and is able to hold the ball up. Added bonus, he's handy for defensive set pieces.

He's also local to the area, so settling wouldn't be an issue.

Would be a like-for-like replacement for Moore, an upgrade that would probably leave us in profit.

I think Moore is quite a hard working player who generally puts in a shift for the team. He gets amongst defenders and isn't afraid to graft and take the hard knocks. He also rarely gets any support from referees.

My issue with him is when he is facing goal, especially with the ball at his feet. He normally fails to spot team mates in better attacking positions or who have a clear shot on goal (as laid catastrophically bare in the play off final on two occasions), his shooting is generally appalling and he is never where he needs to be when a pass or cross is played into the box. He just consistently makes the wrong decisions. I have never seen anything quite like it for a supposedly experienced CF.

It's a real shame because on paper he is an asset and a real string to the bow of any decent attack at this level, but for some reason he seems to have lost any semblance of attacking intelligence. I also think a lot of us are going to struggle to move on from that play off, where his 2nd half performance was one of the worst I have seen for us in a big game.

I wish him the best, but if we can get a few million for him it's a no brainer. We need players in other positions and whilst I would like us to get another CF, with Cannon, Campbell and One we at least have enough up top to start the season.

Bladey blades obsession maybe, reminds some of Wilder, realistically slower than Moore, (or as slow)

could say exactly the same about robinson 56 for refusing to close down or put any sort of challenge in on mayender just as guilty as moore imo
Echos of Back Off Jack backing off Riyad Mahrez from the half way line to the penalty spot before he scored City's second in the FA Cup semi in 2023. Robinson is so scared of someone knocking the ball past him that he just retreats.

Local Ipswich press suggesting Wrexham might actually get Broadhead for about £7.5m. Surely wouldn't get Moore as well... Would they?!

For a spell of games McBurnie may have a higher ceiling when form clicks, no doubt, but he is still deeply inconsistent even when fit....with all his injuries over the years he is actually slower and less mobile than Kieffer Moore. Moore had a poor season last year, but he actually has one of the most consistent records in this division and offers more to the team all around and I also pretty strong at defensive set pieces.. We have other players who can offer those moments of flair that McB can produce. Plus there is the fitness record........and while not what he was on before, still likely high wages. Whatever the answer to this question is with or without Kieffer Moore, I am pretty sure the answer is not Oli McBurnie.

Broadhead is a winger and they are still supposed to be interested in Moore.
Things never fall into place until the week before the start of the season
