Piss poor performance, won and missed a penalty and got worse from then on!
Truly atrocious. One of the most lethargic, lazy, useless CF performances I've seen in a while.

In slight mitigation, we're playing a big lump upfront but not firing in long balls but instead trying intricate football.

Compare/ contrast with Sunderland who had a pacey front 3.. .

I didn't expect him to be prolific (I was surprised at all the "he'll get 20 this season" stuff when he signed) but I did expect him to be better at doing the bog standard target man stuff. He's not actually very good in the air, weirdly.
I think it's because he scored 10? At Ipswich from January on loan.

But then again ipswich was a better attacking team last season than we are currently.

It's 2025 and we're playing a 1970's style No 9 and then rather than lump balls into him, we're playing intricate football around him.

Please make it make sense?!?!?!
I think some games having this style of striker works away from home. But in a game like this where we needed mobility and quick movement at that, it was crying out for a striker to pull players away and create space. We needed Oné on earlier or Campbell.

I don’t think that O’Hare and Moore are clicking at all just now, O’Hare is seeing the ball for a runner and Moore just isn’t wanting to make those runs, yet when the ball goes into Moores feet, he doesn’t want that either… in which case drag players wide and create gaps through the middle for those willing to put the runs in. Frustrating.

One of senior players tonight that should be taking some of the pressure off the younger players. He should easily be an issue for two defenders creating space for others. Or there for players to lay into feet, chest or nob end. But he did nothing, terrible performance.

Fingers crossed he can get that curve out of his back as he jumps lower than he stands tall

Moore isn't on the same wave length as his teammates but he should be. He should know where O'Hare and others will be. Yet most of the time he turns around and goes backwards.
When he has ball to feet rather than look towards goal or go forward he turns into trouble every time

He’s not got one strength. Apart from being rubbish. He’s good at that.

People who slag McBurnie off and say he's no better than Moore need to give their heads a wobble. I would swap this useless lump of lard for McB in a heartbeat.
McBurnie is on a different planet

Exactly. He's not pulling defenders to create the space for Hamer, OHare, Brooks...

Based on tonight, I'd be inclined to give One a go on Saturday. As raw as he'll be, at least he'll move defenders about. The Sunderland CBs tonight were awful, but Moore gave them an easy night.

It was the blaming of other people for not getting the ball to his feet or for his shit passes that wound me up today. Robinson played him a shit pass and instead of tackling the player he just pointed where he wanted it with the arse on!

Desperate for Campbell back to read O Hare's flick ons...

In the WBA he was telling everyone what they should be doing while doing next to fuck all himself.

To be fair that is pretty much like our entire team.

We get into an good position and turn to pass it back. Until our centerbacks pass it between themselves for a bit (until closed down), then it goes back to Cooper who then goes long to moore 😂.

Rinse and repeat.

Whilst I would never speak negative of anyone pulling on a Blades shirt, I have to agree I'd rather have McDrunkie.
Keef played like he'd had a relaxing rum and a spliff before the game tonight.
Save that for after a win Keef.

Yep I don’t think it’s a big risk to play Oné when Moore just isn’t linking up with the team. He seems more focussed on himself than the team at the moment, gone down hill since his double at Cardiff.

For what it’s worth, I didn’t think O’Hare was at it either today, so it’s not just Moore. The link up between them isn’t there currently

I agree. As a lone striker his job is to bring others into play. He doesn't do it enough. He's slow to react to balls coming to him. He doesn't drop back enough for me and he doesn't link up with anyone. That said, Brewster, O'Hare and Hamer never attempt to run forward through the defence off the ball to help him, so it's not entirely his fault. The tactics, or lack of, don't help him.
