Hip hip...
That line up above is physically excellent btwWe'd be a bigger goal threat in a 3-4-3 and probably no worse defensively
Cooper
Gilchrist Souttar Anel
Seriki Peck Souza Burrows
Sakyi Hamer
Moore

that was always likely to happen when we didnt bring the striker we badly needed in before the season started absolute must to bring one in in january possibly even 2 the final 3rd is our achiles just now everywhere else were as good as anything in this leagueRelying on Moore highlights how much we needed another striker. He’ll score goals but atm our main goal threat is Hamer, so if he’s not firing then we’re not scoring.
FWIW I think he needs a rest, but not sure who I’d bring in if we’re playing one up top, as his nearest replacement, Brewster, seems to be doing better slightly behind and running in / linking up. I don’t think Brewster as a lone striker works.
Tricky problem to have but I’m very concerned we’re simply both running Moore in to the ground and also not getting the best from him atm.
If O'Hare plays like the last few games, this may happen. He's too good to be left out but is the team better without him starting? I hope he plays a blinder Wednesday though. The man issue for me is altho Hamer is starting as a winger I'm reality he's playing a free role.
Which means Keiffer Moore is often having to run the channels in place of Hamer... which ultimately means Moore isn't in the box.
It's an easy fix by playing a more traditional winger on both sides who will stay wide.
eg Brooks and Rak-Sakyi and moving Hamer more centrally in place of O'hare.
Whilst I haven't been the biggest fan of Moore this season, this formation would get the best out of him. O'Hare needs a rest and Brooks is too good to not start most matches, as is Rak Sakyi. Keep the 4-2-3-1, put Brooks and Rak Sakyi on opposite wings and make them swap wings every 5 or 10 minutes. I have no idea who originally suggested that idea, but it makes me mouthwater. The man issue for me is altho Hamer is starting as a winger I'm reality he's playing a free role.

Totally agree he needs help up there.Absolutely.
Being up top on your own is a thankless task as it is, but our entire game plan for him is to bring O'hare, Hamer and the widemen into the game. He coves sooooo much ground.
This is true but it also doesn’t change the fact he’s missed at least a dozen chances, with half of those being absolute sitters. The man issue for me is altho Hamer is starting as a winger I'm reality he's playing a free role.

Really at least 6 absolute sitters missed? This is not my recollection. This is true but it also doesn’t change the fact he’s missed at least a dozen chances, with half of those being absolute sitters.

France won the World Cup in 2018 by starting a striker who not only didn't score, but didn't have a shot on target.
Replacing a forward who isn't finishing with a forward who hasn't been finishing for a couple of years doesn't really work though.Give Rhian a go
I'd say most, if not all, of our team could do the same thing in this division.Having half a dozen players that play off a 9 that would walk into any other countries' starting line up does help
have to agree were not getting the best out of kiefer moore in this 4231 set up would certainly be more productive in either a 433 or 4312 systemAgree with a lot of the comments here , Moore is working very hard but often having to run the channels aswell as the midfield is sitting too deep . Theres a massive reliance on O’Hare in the current system to be the supporting No 10 and if he’s off it or man marked Moore becomes even more isolated .
As I’ve just said On The Side For Swansea thread CW is very loyal to his players & while ever were getting results / unbeaten he ain’t gonna tinker with that too much .
We also tend to be more lop sided with most of our attacking intent coming down the right hand side due to playing Hamer on the left who tends to come inside naturally , this has also restricted Burrows ability to get down the flank .
i think you’d absolutely see Moore play better in a front 2 or 3 for that matter where you are keeping him down the middle as a hold up player, but with pace at the side of him .
Arblasters absence has also made us a bit more one dimensional in the middle of the park . We’re still work in progress with the new players & formation & CW will persevere with this until we get a defeat .
As for some who criticising Moore I think it’s tremendously unfair , the lad is ploughing a lone furlough up there with the reliance on others to support him![]()
Yes, he is our best battering ram.Showed tonight what his hold up play brings to the team.
Not that Campbell did much wrong but Moore coming on really changed things.
He was outstanding- MOMJoint motm with Souza for me
