Keving McDonald or John Fleck?

Gaël Bigirimana, of course.

Fleck has a cracking season and should be congratulated for that. McDonald is playing at a higher level and doesn't look out of place,, until Fleck has performed at that level we can't tell IMO

Fleck is unbelievable at this level. Loved watching McDonald play football but Fleck is just the complete midfielder at this level and I am sure he can replucate his form in at least the league above.

I hate it when my Maserati flatters to deceive.... :)

Tell me about it. It's a bit like having a £10m mansion (which I've owned a LOT of, just so everybody knows). Everything's there but it leaves you feeling a little bit empty sometimes. I think this is a very relevant analogy for Kevin McDonald.

Coutts and Fleck will be good enough and Duffy should be certainly a squad member at worst. We might need a bit more power and mobility in there, a Conor Coady type, if we play 4-4-2.

We have moved on from the Conor Coady days . Fleck and Coutts are far more superior players than Coady IMO .
Coady could not replace Freeman at Wing back .

Why don't everyone get off Coutts back ffs UTB

He's one of the most avaricious players we've had recently - didn't he end up playing with the Wolves youth team as he had his head turned by Fulham and their promise of more cash?. How is it that people rate him and slag Hanson, etc.

McDonald has quality, but is lazy and only bothered about one thing. Fleck will have the better career because he has quality and desire. Coutts cares more as well. So glad McDonald and all the others not caring a toss about SUFC are history.

Agreed. The story with McDonald at Wolves is apparently as you put it. I work with a couple of Wolves supporters and they said in the early part of last season that his head had been turned so he wasn't playing.

Hanson is slagged off by those that think that all forwards are judged by how many goals they score. Not accounting for the type of forward they are or what job they are asked to do. It's called a lack of proper understanding of the game. Those of us that understand football can see why he was signed and that he's been integral in the push so far to get us over the line. I sense that you see that as do I.

As for Coutts....he's a better player than McDonald. He's still a luxury player like McDonald was but he's a more effective one that offers a little bit extra when the pressure is on. This is from someone that couldn't see anything in Coutts when he first arrived. One of the few players that has proved me wrong and fair play to him. The lad can play.
