2 year deal for a 36 year old. I doubt the porkers would have offered him that.

Why not? I tell people I'm mates with Kris Akabusi on the strength of meeting him at an athletics event once.

How many appearances / goals has he had in the last 2 years? I thought he'd been out with injury for ages and this was one of the reasons that Bolton struggled (and went down) and struggled again last year.

Can't imagine he's working for nowt - brave move from Preston.

He does seem in excellent condition still and has an athletic build, which is why I think he'll do far better than say Cresswell.

I wouldn't say that Cresswell is out of condition, but like Davies he's thrown himself into every challenge over his career that it has taken its toll on his body.

I'm fairly sure he'll do well at Preston. Its going to be a tough season.

I always thought he'd end up with us and the fact we're where we are at the moment made it all the more likely at this stage of his career. Wages will have been an issue and I can't see it happening now given his age. I'd be amazed if he was against the move full stop, had we gone up last season I think it would have been nailed on.
