Funny how times change. When he was Warnock's no.2 there were many who said that the Blades' success was down to KB.
when Warnock got us promotion ,blackwell was at leeds and stuart mccall was no 2.
Its funny really. Most of the Blackwell haters that blamed Mr Blackwell for everything have since evaluated the way that the club is and was run during Blackwell's reign. It seems that a few have since moved their argument to blame the club for everything.
But if you look at it that way and take into account all of the restrictions placed on Mr B, then it highlights what a magnificent job Mr B did with the resources he had.
Did someone mention Blackie? My buzzer went off.
Yes, funny how things change Broomhill but one thing that will never change is the utter ineptitude, total incompetence and the disgusting personality of one Kevin Blackwell.
Restrictions!! £15m wage bills, endless loans available, £3m strikers, Daz, Cotts, Howard etc etc. You must be joking or pissed.
If anyone DOES actually know how to get in touch with him, can you ask him if he'd be interested in putting some backbone into the worst performing team in Britain atm?
He has his detractors but I'm with Swiss on this one, name a manager who get's promoted whilst having to cut the wage bill and make a profit in the transfer market? We were still labouring under the impression we were "big time" during his tenure and he copped for all the flak now finding it's way to the correct target. We've been managed by a lot worse and sadly not a lot better.
Come on Mic, tell me how much he spent on transfers, how much was recouped....
Every week constantly defending the club, whilst having to work with loanees and constantly changing squad?
Wasn't he talked back into the job by McCabe, only to get nothing from him to work with?
Then when the club committed themselves to him in the summer, they dumped him after 2 games
It's not about whether he got promoted or not. It's the lies he peddled about dominating games, the bullshit about lack of resources when he had so much more than vast majority of managers he was up against and the mind numbing feeling you got watching his side. He is imo an immensely shit manager who got very, very lucky with the squad he inherited, made a disgraceful cock-up of his biggest game and then totally lost it.
Not sure how you can slate McCabe for allowing him all the loan signings and Evans and plenty of others.

He had plenty to spend. Could have used Ched money a million times better, no idea how to build a squad and created alot of his own problems

I can't remember anyone complaining when we bought Evans but everyone is using it as a stick to beat the club/KB now. Yeah it didn't work out, well at least not at the start but I don't remember a single negative comment. It's not his fault what he cost or that we played a style that is/was totally unsuitable to the way we 'play' but to criticise KB is a bit unfair

Yeah he spent some money and looking at Ched now he's showing that he was worth a decent fee.

With all the managerial sackings these last couple of months you would think that somebody would want him.
Maybe he's looked after his money and is now taking a break, doing a bit of DIY, etc. (he was a builder in former times).
No doubt he'll be back before very long.
Blackwell is the root cause of the problems we have at this moment in time
If he had the balls to stand up to McCabe when he had a decent squad then things may have been different but he inherited a quality squad and blew the lot!
That man doesn't deserve another job in football
Blackwell was arrogant, self centred and a bully !

You should do stand up.
