Completely get where you're coming from, but on the flip side, we could get owners in the same mould as Leicester, Wolves or Bournemouth.

At the end of the day, someone has to own us. It feels to me that there's going to be a changing of the guard relatively soon. I hope to Christ we don't get a charlatan.

If our upward trajectory continues I’m happy with the existing owners. No one can say Wilder hasn’t been backed this season. The budget has been realistic but it’s a decent one. Thankfully they recognise that he’s a brilliant manager and can be trusted with it. Changing owners can sometimes bring about a change in direction, they often want to choose their own manager and frankly Wilder is more important than any owner at the moment.

At some point we will need more financial backing but until that is an absolute necessity to carry us any further I’m happy to stick rather than twist.

I thought that mediation had failed and they were due in court in May? Which would suggest that they are well beyond sorting anything out amongst themselves.

Which has has been going on longer Brexit or the ownership saga? Asking for a friend, I have no views on either.

Brexit probably, but only just.

I think our glorious leaders had their falling out after the referendum? When did Wilder have his 'things need to change' meltdown..?

I'm not thinking about this right now and I doubt the players and management are either. I'd much rather we hear nothing on it, even if it was good news that it had been settled because any distraction from what's on the pitch isn't something I am in favour. Which takes me back to 1990, when Harry had to get us promoted with boardroom struggles, a take over that then failed, all of which was shown to the nation on the "United" documentary.

What Wilder's achieved this season is on a par given the ongoing uncertainty, but fair play to the board who've kept it out of the public arena and also backed Wilder this January. Whether that's mainly due to the McCabes or the McCabes and the Prince I don't know but I'd doubt it was solely due to the Prince, but either way, I think they deserve some credit.
