Our next seasons McGoldrick? Injury problems I've heard aswell 🫣

Fulham and Saints surprises me. Paper talk surely.

Made of biscuits. I know I've mentioned it a few times but in terms of free contracts, we should seriously be looking at Ineanacho and he's only 27.

Lovely thought but wages !!!
Depends on his temperament and what he wants to do with his career. Holgate is on 70k a week, if the loan move would be permanent, I'm sure he wouldn't expect that in the Championship.

Ineanacho will be out of work in the summer and will no doubt have a fair few offers, but I can't imagine anyone offering anywhere close to his estimated 80k a week unless he makes a move to Saudi. He's currently behind Daka, Vardy and Cannon at Leicester in the Championship. No idea what's caused the fallout but he's always looked like a top player to me. There's plenty of promotion clauses that can be introduced to good players wanting to reignite their career. Offer him 30k with a promotion clause and bonus, see how it goes.

Could be our own Chuba-Akpom story.

Instantly dubbed ‘UpOnThe’ in the dressing room ( physio lounge).

Sure the accountant said would be looking to sign players with a resale value.
....and yet Wilder has dismissed signing young players with potential as he wants to sign experienced players between 27-29 years old. So this very much ticks Widler's box and shuts the door on any potential resale up and coming players, which is who we should be targetting as that's the only way we'll ever have money to spend in transfer windows.

So someone's talking bollocks or the club and Wilder aren't singing from the same sheet, which wouldn't surprise me with Wilder.

Without knowing the upcoming budget and bearing in mind the relatively small squad size at the moment, I think we've got to take a varied requirement list for new signings.

I can fully understand the view of young players promising potential resale value, but we are in desperate need of experienced, no nonsense leaders for the spine of the team as well. The immediate aim is for success in the championship, so a balance will have to be made for the short term, medium term etc.

Certainly would have no qualms about Joe Worrall as a future captain/leader, whether he's Premiership level is another matter.

Should be an eventful and interesting Summer.

I wouldn't worry about whether Worrall is Premier League quality or not as we'll unlikely be finding that out anytime soon. Allegedly he's going to cost around £4mil and I highly doubt we have £4mil to spend without selling first. If we sell Anel and buy Worrall then we're still short at centre back when injuries/suspenions kick in.

I'm not against signing experienced players but I think you need a balance. I'm all for buying young players with Championship potential from League One, then selling them for profit if it means signing an adequate replacement and strengthening another position with a first team player, not a bench warmer. It's what you have to do these days if you don't have a multi-millionaire owner funding your summer, or parachute payments that haven't been spent on a new training centre, a hotel and land attached to the club. But we also need to supplement them with experience.

I worry about Wilder signing only experienced players and us not going up, and not having money to spend in future windows as no one will want to buy the aging players. It's very much gambling on going back up or bust.

I have no problem with being in the Championship for a few years if I can see that we are adding players to the starting line up each season and improving it. I can't see this with this narrow minded proposed strategy.

But, hopefully, if we sell Anel, we might be able to buy 5 Worralls!!

£20mil for Anel? Fat chance.

I can't see him going for more than £10-£12mil tops.

One Worrall over Anel for me anyday.

Agree, it's got to be a balanced approach. Obviously I've no idea about the future development with regards our budget, a takeover or not, or even our intentions, I'm not an ITK'er, but a sensible mix of signings would seem to be the best option forward.

The words "Hopefully" and "Might", signal that I really don't expect £20m, although, we did pay more than that for Brewster.......and, atleast Anel can make it from the tunnel to the pitch without getting injured!...... so you never know!

Jesus Christ… give it a rest you hate Wilder that’s fine. Let’s see who he signs and then come back too it. Not got long to wait.

I don't hate Wilder at all. I just don't raye him anymore and don't think he's what we need to move forward as a football club and I'm happy to be proven wrong.

I will reserve judgement until I've seen signings and how we're setting up to play next season.

I don't hate anyone. How can I hate Wilder? I've never met the bloke.

We absolutely need a few older players especially if Egan and mcburnie go. The team already needs leaders as it is.

That said we don't need a average Scottish premiership striker.
