Simmo at fault for the first today and should have saved the third.

Not the first time Simmo has been under the spotlight.....

Time to give Wright a go......................?

Playing behind that defence (especially Nosworthy) would make any keeper nervy. Maybe he should be rested for a few games but Wright has not had much football over the past few seasons. Could be a big risk.

I dont know.

He did so well for us last season. Funny how loan signings seem to work this way.

If Simonsen carries on i think Wright may well muscle his way in.

Christ! How fickle are we.

Leave him in as no 1, he does more than enough to justify his position yes he makes the odd mistake, but as a keeper his mistakes are always punished.

His confidence will be knocked, but it'll not do him(or us) good to be dropped.

Agree with Simmo at fault for their first goal but where was the left back for their third goal.
Smart finish but he had no one to challenge him. School boy defending that was.

Simmo and Wright are both good goal keepers so I am not fussed which one is in the sticks.
The problem for Simmo is that a goal keeper is not allowed to make the odd mistake. Goal keeping mistakes lead to goals and if there are more than once in a blue moon you have to make a change.

Hopefully Simmo will improve as the season goes on. He's basically been a reserve for two years so I'm sure he will get sharper the more he plays.

Unfortunately I think the best keeper in the league now resides in West London. I remember looking on forums and Paddy getting slated for the smallest things. I wonder what those people thought after last season when we had a succession of inferior stoppers.

If you count the mistakes which have led to goals it might be worth giving Wright a go. But seeing Wright for Ipswich in recent times doesn't make it an easy decision.

What's more, I made Simmo blameless for their third, and jointly to blame with the defence for the first. Hopefully he'll improve as the back four settles in.
