Totally agree about the local coverage mate. I will call out names, both RS and the Stir need to take a long hard look at themselves and consider their positioning as 'unbiased' media outlets. More specifically Toby Foster and James Mitchinson overstepped the mark with their own commentary and tried to drive the narrative of 'nasty United' who endorse the abuse of women and woe betide anyone who tries to defend them, the player or question the verdict. Staton and Buchan also have a lot of questions to answer as far as I am concerned. Listening to Staton being questioned by a Blade caller last night, squirming and trying to re-write his own history and deny his shocking handling of Blades callers in the past was almost embarrassing

Bollocks to the lot of em. I really would like to see McCabe call some of these wankers out and tell them all to go and fuck themselves.

I have mixed feelings about the chanting of his name.


One on hand, I somewhat agree with Ricky that it let’ those in power at the club know that we want him back (for those who do) and thus may improve the chances of it happening.


On the other hand, there are a multitude of reasons not to


1. Despite decent intentions from some, there will be extremely tasteless and embarrassing songs (she said yes, shag who he wants etc.). That reflects badly on all of us.


2. Despite being able to have a reasoned opinion that you would welcome him back to the club whilst not wanting to condone his actions or trivialise the issue, the issues are too complex to get your genuine viewpoint across in a chant and as such, would be open to misinterpretation.


3. It’s vocal support that could go towards our players on the pitch. If we’re going to make a lot of noise, shouldn’t it be to get behind those in red and white trying to get us a result on the day?
