I find it hard to have an opinion on him, came as one for the future, injury early on, players in front of him doing well, who knows? A loan sounds like a good idea,

Since he arrived the bar has been raised quite a lot, good luck to him

the only gme I've ever really seen him play was Sunderland and he struggled. Absolutely needs to go and get games somewhere

Good for him and us. From what I have seen he is never going to make it at the top level and I’m surprised Charlton would want him. Next !

I wonder if Kean Bryan would be better suited at LWB rather than LCB? He seems too short to be LCB to be honest.

Ive never understood all the negativity towards him. He was never bought as a finished product, instead a prospect.

When ive sewn him play I never thought he looked out of his depth either, infact i've seen some promising signs in his play, he zips the ball around with purpose and is quite powerful. Defensively i dont think hes any worse than stearman and is much more athletic.

Wish the lad all the best!

I’ve got nothing against him, and wouldn’t rule him out either improving in the future or making a successful career elsewhere. But for me, when I’ve seen him play he still looks like a player we’ve just signed and is playing our system for the first time, rather than someone we’ve had training with the squad for a year and a half now. Watching Sunday’s game, one of the first things he noticeably did was to midway through a typical patient build-up smash a ball at goal from about 30 yards – something none of the first choice centre-backs would have attempted. It wasn’t even remotely close. More generally, he just doesn’t seem to do the basics of the role – he’s neither a good tackler asked to pass more, nor a good passer asked to tackle more. It’s not an easy position – we could sign an established centre-back and they might not adapt well to the asks required. But he’s had a year and a half of watching JOC in the role under little pressure, and for me doesn’t seem to be getting it anywhere near as quickly as we’d hoped. The next player we try there might not either. But I think it’s time to move him on to try another person in the role that might be a credible back-up – as Bryan is not.

I've seen him a lot in Cup games and a few times in u23 games and i hate to say it but ive never been impressed by what he has to offer our team. He always looked the worst player in the starting XI. Personally i see him playing better as a CB in a back 4, but unfortunately for him i don't think he's suited to our style of play. Whatever happens to him i hope he does well but i can't help but feel he may be another Carter-Vickers and end up sliding down the football pyramid.

Good player. People are writing him off after seeing him in bit n pieces. He's "become a thing". Even the "trust in Wilder" cultists don't defend him now. He's a BashamCouttsLundstram -a-like. He's here. Now. Might be needed. Gets my support. Good player.

I'd try and get him a Championship loan. He needs a run of games. He hasn't impressed for us, but how many have in the cup games?

I think people forget that when we watch some of these fringe players that they are playing in a system the first team are so tuned into have been fine tuning for a number of seasons. To judge these players against what we see on a weekly basis is a bit harsh. Plus, its not like we are watching 1 or 2 players trying to join the established team, we are watching 7/8 players trying to play this formation/style they are unaccustomed to.
