Now that he has left Cardiff to go back to Man City, anybody else think he would be worth a punt and a good signing to test Paddy?

no get him in hes a great keeper....bennett and paddy are good keepers though and annerson and hernandez are both good from what ive been told by some academy players...gerrard can go though for me ive never rated him

Never rated Gerrard and bennett is a very good keeper but not getting any younger! Kasper is young and quality and could easily become a number one at the lane for years to come

Would have to get past Mr Hart first... who's come on quite a way since we ever so maturely suggested he may be of a certain sexual persuasion whilst bored out of our brains watching an oh so exciting cup performance at Gay Meadow ;)

Didn't Sven tell Kasper that it would be alternated after so many games?

Very good keeper in my opinion! Never really given the chance at city and seemed to be dropped when he was playing out of his skin!

Is this meant to be permanent or loan? VERY good keeper!

from the Mirror....

Sheffield United want Kasper Schmeichel to solve their keeper crisis.

They will turn to the son of Old Trafford legend Peter, who is unsettled at Manchester City, after they discover the severity of Paddy Kenny's punishment for failing a drugs test.

OH GREAT... It's the Mirror reporting it!

I'd welcome him with open arms. I was shocked when (i think it was Sven) dropped him. He's quality. Great reflexes and young. I like Paddy Kenny but if he's out for at least 6 months then this could not only be a good replacement in he short term BUT if we can sign him permanent then its a good long term replacement.

I also think his dad was the greatest keeper i've ever seen play...

I'd agree with this, but nothing else.

I don't think Kasper is at all good, he is decent back up, but I don't think he is good enough for the number 1 shirt.

I think he'd be a good signing. Like others have said he's only young and he's good enough already. A few more years under his belt and he could be a great keeper.

Id rather have him than Kenny anyday. I too was shocked when he was dropped for Man City & ended up at Cardiff on loan was it?

I'm definately having his name on my shirt if he signs, regardless of whether its a keeper shirt or not. Don't think i can afford a number though.
