Our local shop (jumbos, harborough avenue) have blue and yellow baskets. If the yellow ones have 10 blue ones on top of them I'll move them to get a yellow one.
:)

I once stabbed my eyes out and now I am blind
It was before these new fangled contact lenses that you can have any colour you like.

How stupid do I feel now

My wife put a blue band on my electric toothbrush and I'm not happy. I always have the red band she can have any other colour. Is there anyone else who tries to avoid blue or I'm a just going senile? :)

Don't worry Mick, there are plenty of us in the same position. I sometimes work from home and during the summer, Mrs BB will often go out to work before the washer has finished and ask me to peg it out when done. We have a collection of wooden pegs and also plastic pegs that are red, white and blue. If I am pegging a white item up, I reach for the red pegs first. If there are no red pegs left, I'll use the wooden ones. I leave the blue 'til last and only ever use them when all others are exhausted. And I will never use a blue peg with a white item!

As a footnote, I've just read over my post and if anyone else had written that, I'd think they were fucking mad!:)

My wife insists on a pink toothbrush for her, green for the kids and a blue one for me. However, ITS NOT BLUE IT'S PURPLE, MAUVE OR ANY OTHER COLOUR I WISH TO F@(#ING CALL IT!!!!

I refuse to write in blue pen at work and will go to other departments stationary cupboards to get a black one, this was something that I began from the days we got pens at school.

I also detest the band blue.

I'm still angry at my wife for buying a blue car without my agreeing to it! Sadly it was a good buy but I would have much rather any other colour, other than maybe pink! On a similaer note I never ever bought Mr Tom bars when I was at school and I've never shopped at Asda since 1991! Ok the last bit is total bullshit! I really wish that was the case but that's pretty sad I know!

I think that's perfectly reasonable behaviour. Apart from using the blue ones at all. Now that is madness. I only have red and white pegs, always used alternatively..My washing line is a thing of beauty...Can't wait for the spin cycle to finish :)...UTB
