Worked his blood to water for the cause.

Doesn't have much pace these days but his nuisance factor to defences is right up there. He had a tough gig tonight when the first team was named but he got his head down and worked his bollocks off. A proper captain's role tonight from the legend.

This is thing with Sharp, yeah tonight he hasn't really had much of a sniff of goal. But he's always a nuisance and give him a decent chance or 2 and it's a goal.

I actually think recently when he's played we've not been supplying him well. Last season MGW kinda instinctively knew when and where to cross for him or put him through. No slight on our current squad but I do think needs highlighting. Duffy for example used to see sharp peeling off at back post etc.

At 37, putting the shift in he did was fantastic. When you consider Leon Clarke (38) is playing bottom of League 2 with Hartlepool and I saw Brett Pitman (35) is banging them in the 9th tier - we really don't apppreciate his longevity enough.

You don’t know what you’ve got ‘till it’s gone.

Kevin Phillips kept going until 40, love to see Billy beat that , easier for defenders , but Billy reads the game well . Needs offer of a job for life at Blades anyway he has earnt it .

It must have been tiring hearing Dier moan at every decision, never mind running around and playing football as well.

That's a really good shout pal, 37 years young Sir William Sharp... top lad..

When he picked up his latest injury , my immediate thought was that’s him done for the season and it will cost us dearly . Delighted to see him back so soon .

As with the Spurs game , there will be others in the run in where Hecky and co. will rightly decide to play with just one up front , and in that role he is comfortably the best we have .

In other situations he will be a valuable impact sub whose mere presence on the pitch gives a psychological boost to those around him .

Our prospects in both league and cup are greatly enhanced by the fact that Billy Sharp is back .

Billy was fantastic against Spurs.I like how he holds the ball up for us and gets the usual free kick he knows the dark hearts does our Billy.

Could he introduce me to a few? I have a bit of a thing for goth women.
