I live in Ecuador. Their "youth team" is a golden generation. They have probably never had a better youth team in their entire history. This is extremely encouraging.

I would imagine that in the leading South American countries (Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay etc), any promising youngsters are quickly scouted and snapped up by the leading clubs there and then sold unto European league teams for a nice tidy profit. Its probably very difficult to forge relationships with clubs in these countries and as such we have to be abit "cuter" about how we go about things. Theres also no reason that we have not had a look elsewere (other countries) and that this kid is the first player deemed good enough to have a further look at.

Anyway its only a trial, and we all know that nothing is actually agreed yet.
