Not sure how we can start both against good teams as neither puts in a shift defensively. Clarke (and Gilchrist before him) and Burrows exposed one on one far too often, but they have no support. You can't expect the CMs to be everywhere.

You can't have 4 players on the pitch who do nothing defensively.

But we were worse defensively down the flanks when they went off in my opinion. At least when they are on the pitch if gives the opposition something to think about as well. Them both go off coincided with us dropping deeper as the game went on

What about a £13million forward who doesn't score or contribute defensively. 3 midfielders on the bench. Why did we not leave Chiudry off & have cover at right back/centre half???

Got to keep signings happy.

Also why did we not bring a forward on as soon as they scored 2nd. 2 mins of their celebrations and another couple of mins, a 3rd before we saunter into action.

Fair comment but I think Peck and Souza had to do a lot of covering first half, either for the FB or for the CBs who got dragged out to help.

BBD lost his man for the first goal, Hamer for the second. Two players can't mark their entire team. Midfielders need to get between their man and the goal when we don't have the ball. That is just basic.

Defensively JRS had a good game last night & chased back and harassed Solomon very well , it was only after he went off & we lost Campbell who was leading the line well that Leeds got a grip on the game . Regards BBD I think he’s more effective as a centre forward . The wide left position has been a problem for us all season , Hamer shoe horned in there but this takes him out of his best position more central , McCallum decent defensively but offers little going forward , maybe playing Brookes on his natural left hand side might be worth a try instead of easing him on the right ?
I think with the right recruitment we might have seen a lot better of Burrows attacking wise . This was the reason I would have lined Mikey Johnston who went to West Brom earlier in the season

James interview after the game said a key part of what turned the game was the extra press they put on our defenders,if you have opponents who are prepared to outwork you doing the dirty part of the game,you either have to respond or go under.
