Man City - will do ok in their U23 side....
Spurs - just like mopping up any younger player from the lower leagues.

But 6m..... For a player out of contract in 6 months. Ridiculous.

They'll get the ink dry on a nice new contract and then ship him out a couple months later, seems to be the tactic for getting maximum money these days, didn't we do the same with Brooks last year?

Personally I think the lad needs to cut his cloth in the championship or follow Sancho and go to the Bundesliga

Ah, hindsight, what would life be without being able to tell others how things would have turned out? If only we'd have been armed with prior insight?

At the time, Adams apparently wasn't prepared to get on board with the then manager's vision (I believe that Wilder was newly installed), and as with every other player that we've sold the valuation was at a level that was regarded as appropriate. There wasn't an auction that would have enabled the club to hike the price, it was what it was, so why anyone thinks that we could, or should, have asked for more is puzzling. My dad bought his house for £1500 in the 1960's, but if he'd held on then today the valuation was a little under £2 million. How 'foolish' of him not to understand this, and even more 'foolish' that he couldn't predict how the property market would develop. It's the same in football, everyone seems to possess the ability to predict correctly. I wonder why they don't spend their time making a fortune from stocks and shares, or from the horses, or from just about anything that can offer a return that will make you wealthy?

Selling a very very talented youngster before he’s even played half a season for peanuts isn’t approrporiate , rumors that teams are been quoted at 20 mill for him . Heard that one before ? Brooks ? Walker ?

And I don’t think wilder even tried to get him onboard ?

Who else, apart from Bournemouth, made an offer for Brooks? So, if we'd added another £8 million to his valuation you assume this would have alerted other clubs to bid?. The reason why clubs get what they get is because someone is prepared to pay the asking price. Given that a good slice of the fee will go towards running costs, then it shouldn't take a great deal of imagination to appreciate that your point is based on a lack of understanding regarding how the club is run.

It’s pretty simple to understand as soon as anyone shows a bit of interest in any of our players there off , walker naughton SOLD brooks SOLD Che adams SOLD Dcl SOLD James Beattie SOLD Jamie Murphy SOLD Matt lowton SOLD in sure there’s others that I have missed since when have we ever told a club where to go ? Only O’Connell because we’d already sold brooks this summer.

It’ll only change when we get more ambitious owners which hopefully will be happening soon

I think that inadvertently you've answered your own unoriginal question. We've never had an owner that's had the resources to compete in modern day football. It's a changed landscape, so there's no point repeating such overly dramatic claims. The fact that those at the top can't finance at a level you'd like doesn't stop you from wading in like a bull in a china shop. So be prepared for further sales, then you can blame whoever you feel is deserving of your irritation with the club.

Not blaming anyone just merely said that we sold Che Adams far too soon and we might not be looking so desperately for a striker If we still had him and if we were to sell a 20/21 year old striker who’d scored 20+ goals in league one we’d be wanting a fee much more than 2 million every team is a selling club in football but some sell at the best time we don’t we sell as soon as someone makes and offer

You seem blind to the logic that says, "If there's only one offer on the table, if the finances of the club need constant topping up, and all the while we're outside of the Premiership, then there's little that can be done to change things", so until any of this changes for the good why are your surprised, or maybe that's blind, to the club's situation? Get a multi-billionaire on board, make sure they're not going to rip the heart out of the club, allow our manager to compete in what's become a bear-pit of a market, and maybe then we'll see the Blades as worthy members of the top division........just stop whinging about the club's finances, if you had to ensure that the club kept it's head above water (financially speaking) I wonder what you'd do to guarantee that we weren't in the same position as our 'friends' in S6?

"SHEFFIELD UNITED CANT AFFORD TO MISS OUT ON THIS YOUNG TALENT COME JANUARY!"

Is this true, is he any good??
Just been watching a few of his clips ont net, n he looks promising to be fair.....
Big, black n fast, that fits most people's dynamic, not sure about the French bit?
If he's French we wontbe signing him !!

Think you should take a more holistic view of Adams' transfer - the proceeds allowed CW to recruit some key players (Moore, Fleck, Duffy, JOC etc) for the 16/17 campaign - IMHO Utd wouldn't have gone up if they'd instead held onto Adams who was inconsistent at best. If, as being reported, Adams leaves for Stoke in the JTW, Utd will also receive a cut (15%??) of the profit so if he goes for £6m, Utd will receive an additional £637k.

Don’t disagree with you , just sayin would have been nice to see him do well if he’s been doin well in a poorish Birmingham team until recently what could he have done under wilder

Well it was Wilder who let him go, so if you trust him enough to get the best out of him, trust him to make that call also ?

Sunderland have to sell to a team in a better position, and not only that but they have to let him go cheaply as well, there's already a precedent set
Mind you wages might be a problem, after all he is a youth player at Sunderland in League One so I have to wonder if we could compete

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

900k would be 15% of 6m, or am I missing something?

The sell on is usually on profit made - so it would be 15% of £6m minus whatever we got for him (can’t remember the figure)

Ah right yeah I always forget that bit

Reports that he could be available for as little as £1.5m!

This would be the equivalent of us selling Nick Blackman for £1m in January 2013.

Can only see us buying if we sell someone!
So I don’t see it unfortunately

This would be my number 1 signing.
Above Defoe, Zahore... everyone we've been linked with.
I honestly can't see it happening at all though and there is no reason why it shouldn't really.

Wilder has said only loan signings so I very much doubt this is a goer I really want Tom Eaves from Gillingham but doubt that'll happen either. Expect loans from PL based on what Wilder said.

That's the main reason I'm writting it off as well.
It's pessimistic but isnt that thinking a bit short term? Someone pointed out to me that next year we will need 2 new strikers and a keeper (and that's without mentioning our best player and play maker is 32).

I'm all for a Quality striker coming in on loan but if we could genuinely get Maja or that goal machine from Ayr for around 2million quid for both, why not try!? They are both well under 25.

I see your point mate, Wilder seems to prefer to look upwards rather than down. We tired the opposite way round and last January it didn't come off. Maybe that's the reason.

It's hard to judge really isn't it? We've bought league 1 players that have been shocking and some that are still with us and can probably make the Premiership.
That said for every premiership player we've brought in like Deano, there's been a Hammond and a Wilson.
