I might sound stupid but as I haven't really been doing much keeping up with stuff this summer, I was wondering, wasn't he facing prison? I take it he got let off?

He isn't good enough in my humble opinion. I went on Saturday and although he did take two chances I just dont see him making the cut.

I've heard a lot of good thing's about him. But when he's played 30 to 45 games we'll probably sell him, Just like the 2 kyle's.


I don't know why the club isn't trying to build a team around the youngsters with some proven professional's as well.We could have a team for about 5 years if we can hold on to them.

I think they actually are, but you can only bring players through that are good enough. In an ideal world the academy will produce several players per year to make the first team, but realistically if an academy can give you 1,2,3 players your doing well.

Since the Shirecliffe Academy was built we have seen Montgomery, Tonge, Jagielka, Sharp, S.Quinn, Naughton and Walker all come through (although people like Jags and Tonge etc were signed in their teens from other clubs) which is a great return compared to other teams.

I agree.

He's a decent player, but he's not of the standard to play for us. Would be a decent League One player, that's about it.

I was talking about this with a couple of mates the other day, and basically the judicial process hasn't finished yet.

so technically he could break into the team and make an impact, then get sent down. Which is what will probably happen. Because he probably doesn't have Stevie G's lawyers.

Im not claiming that I know robertson at all but both him and bill sharp went to my old secondary school (quite a while back now) and I would love to see them both 'make it big'. But i cannot really see it, he might end up playing for somebody like Chesterfield in a few years time but thats about it

Funny you should say that cause im currently chesterfield on fifa 09 and ive had him signed for chesterfield since league two, im currently in the championship

Good luck to him if he does, if he works hard enough and puts all his efforts into it then anyone should be given that opportunity to prove themselves

He's great in football manager.... i usually sign him when in the conference and he gets hats full.

When im united i loan him out for first season and then he bangs em in for the first team. Good little player in the game.....

......Mind you....so is howard!!!

I know Robertson, was in a few of my classes at school. He was a bit of an arrogant cock.

Hope he does well, but I can't see him being the answer for a club like us.

If Sharp goes he might have the Lupoli role, assumming we replace Sharp.
