To be fair (and i'm not trying to defend his general play) he did have a good shot on target which many of our more attacking players never managed.

:)

It was more of a pass toward the goal really. Before he hit it I was thinking For fucks sake don't hit it from there you useless c*nt! I full expected it to be smashed into orbit. That was the only good thing he did all game. I thought he was mid 30's but he's only 27! I don't think Blackwell would trust me at left back either, I know I wouldn't. Maybe I should ask for a game.

I could still do a job!

:D

Forum footy anyone???????

To be honest and after careful consideration, if I Stewart is the benchmark then I probably could do a job. A shit job granted, but a better job than that load of old dogger.

What an absolute joke and insult that is to a player who has made great efforts to come back from a career threatening injury. He has played a couple of games in which he has lasted until the final whistle ,and is being brought slowly back to full fitness. Posts like that make me sick.

No sorry i take that all back, i would love to see Derek Geary drag his career and injury battles out to the bitter end, and see him carry on fighting a serious degenerative knee injury that restrict his ability. I'm sure than when he is a cripple later on life it will be more than worth it.

he is fully aware of the degenerative effects it will have on him and is happy to play on. he's done well to get himself back to where he is, its a bit much to slate him really.

Well thought out Dr Brown ,are you more qualified than Gearys surgeon ,Uniteds fitness team and Del to decide whats best for him ?
Bet you said the same for Henrick Larsonn and Chris Armstrong and probably for Morgan with a degenerative rib injury. We'll all be cripples eventually if we are lucky to live long enough ,its just a matter of time.
What would you do ,be a miserable regular regular working man or take a chance on a few years as a top level professional footballer ? I know what I'd do and I'd like to think that my supporters would appreciate it too.

So then Professor Sitwell, do you know any more about Del Geary's knee injury than anyone else on here, have you rang and spoken to him about it on his personal mobile?

I'm just going what is known me. It currently takes him 5 days to recover from a match, he has not been playing at anywhere near the standard he was once capable of, and its a widely known fact that he doesn't any cartledge in his dodgy knee.

As admirable as i think his efforts are at the moment in trying to beat this knee injury, i can see it is not doing anyone any good, and all he is doing is trying to swim against the tide, and it is painful to watch a once excellent footballer, who was whole-hearted and not afraid of any challenge or opponent, struggling with an injury like this.

He is 3 games into his recuperation and I haven't seen him shirk one challenge .To think you know better than Geary or the manager or the staff or the medical team is patronising to say the least.

Hate to correct you son but, a cursory check with the archives tells me he is 6 games in. Barnsley A, Leicester A, QPR H, Preston H, QPR A, Watford A.

In defence of Jordan Stewart, I reckon that going forward he looks at times like a reasonable player.

That's it though, because defensively he's awful. You may as well dress a shopp dummy up and stick it on castors. Absolutely terrible defending. Yes, he's quick. He bloody needs to be because his positioning is all over the place.

He is supposed to be a defender though, By definition - one that defends. Playing in defence, primary function to defend. He is woeful going forward too. You must be viewing him through a variation on your horse tinteds.

Every keyboard warrior thinks exactly that!
:)

I think everyone thinks they know where the manager is going wrong who posts on football message boards.

Put it this way if everyone came on here and said i agree with the manager this place would be a lot more boring.

Keyboard Warrior, i'll take that as the nearest thing as a compliment as i will ever get from you

I genuinely wasn't referring to you - honest as the day is long! It wasn't even meant to be especially derogatory in the wider sense in which it was intended.

Sitwell's comment just made me smile for the same reason you said above - just about everyone thinks they know better at various times.

Although it's true it applies to some more often than others, naming no names... :)
