Can't see this one happening.

Dundee United have turned down a bid from Sheffield United for Johnny Russell, BBC Scotland has learned.
The League One side's deadline day offer, believed to be around £400,000, is well below United's valuation.
Championship team Burnley may also show late interest in 22-year-old Russell, who has scored 14 times for the Tannadice club this season.
United appointed Jackie McNamara as their new manager on Wednesday following Peter Houston's departure.

Since the "£400k bid" hasn't Wilson been on denying any such thing saying we were never in for him?

Let's be reyt here, if reports are true about Wilson saying short term contracts and loans only, how the f'k can we have bid the £400k anyway?

Yes he did state that no bid was made in an interview I heard

Let's be reyt here Wilson has said that there are not going to be any loans so it appears that three is no money for short term contracts or loans either.

Doesn't seem to be getting a mention on here but Clough said on the radio last night that he would be interested in bringing him t'lane and will be asking Derby about his availability.

Looked a really good player for Dundee United. Think he's been injured since he went to Derby, thoughts?

Didn't Derby say there's more chance of Christmas been cancelled than Johnny Russell signing for Sheffield United?
Yeah sounds like a done deal.

I remember when United went to Watford to try and sign Stewart Scullion, who turned us down flat, so they signed an 18 year old kid from their reserves called Tony Currie instead..

You never know.

Blue Moons of that quality in my lifetime = Currie and Deane
Quite sad really :(

Looked a really good player for Dundee United!

I'm sure Murphy looked the same for Motherwell so excuse me if i don't get to excited.

Let's offer about 100k and pretend we've got a chance of signing him.....

I'm sure I read on Derbys fans forum a message that was posted at 2.48 pm before the game started that Jonny Russell would score in his own net

That's spooky

Not when you saw the strike it wasn't, he may be a few quid better off today

They don't seem to like him, and he needs a move.

I'd take him at the right price. Don't think he's got long left on his contract.
