Outgoing? John Lunsdtram

Other than being a fan my knowledge of players and tactics is next to nothing, so my opinion is only worth so much but Lunny strikes me as an intimidating opponent to have, chucks himself about, not in a crudefouling way but makes up for his lack of ability in effort.

To be honest not sure what I'm trying to say here. I'd keep him but not to the extent that it undermines CWAK. Seemed in a strange mood during last match at Southampton

Agree...Lunny wants to stay.
You could easy switch it round and say as we are not willing to meet his wage demands
Then it’s Wilder and SUFC who don’t rate him...so we don’t want to keep him.
Lunny isnt getting any younger and wants regular 1st team football and probably things he’s no chance at SU.

Lundstrams form has dipped post lockdown, so he needs to prove himself again, like he did from pre season last year.
Lundstram seems to believe he has proved himself to be EPL standard. He is nowhere near that yet.

I think I was being generous in describing his form. It’s been patchy and inconsistent, sorry from the first 3 months when he was out to prove himself. Injuries or not, he did not carry that form throughout the season. He was not in a position to demand a higher wage at the turn of the year. He has been offered an intoved contract, based on the clubs valuation of his worth to the club. Others have accepted, he hasn’t.
 
Whatever the rights and wrongs of Lundstrams contract situation he now becomes important to keep at the moment as Sander has just returned to the Club early from International duty with a knee injury.

He played to the end of the game, didn’t go off injured so hopefully he’ll be ok for Monday. Funny how he got of to a slow start but now he’s a key player we don’t want to be out of the starting Xl

Do you know all the facts and personal circumstances and the exact contract he’s been offered ? I assume not ...

If he stays and performs this season all well here good he cost us fk all ..and I will cheer him on if he performs ....if we sell him for a few million all well and good as well....we can’t lose either way

No need to jump to conclusions ..we have had plenty of players over the last 10 years we have wanted to fk off and we couldn’t shift em ...Lundstram not really done anything wrong

If he's not willing to sign a new contract and just seeing existing one out knowing he can leave for free next summer for a big signing on fee .... dont think he'd want to give 100% for Blades while here .... so surely best to get rid now!!!!

And just how would you propose to "get rid" if he hasn't yet had an offer that he wishes to pursue?
 

As long as the Lundstram thats going is the one thats the anonymous sideways and backpasser, im fine with it. But if its the one that scores goals ill be a tad dissapointed.

To get rid you need to either

A) Pay off this contract - moronic to do this and lose a player for the season, once who Wilder has said has had a perfect attitude and will continue to remain involved whilst that is the case.

B) Sell him, that takes a buying club and a willing player to make it happen. Basically if he wants to cash in we have no sway over it.

Your all over the place here, we get no benefit out of A and we have no control over B. Hes a blade, and lets hope we can see him at his best next season. Were not privvy to the details of the offer he got, what he was looking for etc, so once he performs next season GLTTL

Totally Dublin. I think we accept hes here for a season then goes on a free. Nobody is going to pay much for a player they can get for nothing in 9m so hes worth more ro us in the squad.

I have no worries about his attitude or commitment as to get the salary hes looking for hes going to have to perform well for us.
 
Lundstram is going to have to play as well as he can as it’s no means certain rangers will want him at the end of the season. I can’t see Gerrard staying there another year.
 
I am very surprised that nobody has snapped him up this summer.
