Brizzle could probably double any transfer fee or wage we can currently offer. It would be a shame because I liked the look of this lad but let's see how it pans out. It does seem to be dragging on when you consider the Oxford manager said days ago that he expected it to be done within 24 hours.

Bristol City might have some cash to splash but in terms of a team on the up and going places then there's only one team he'll sign for.

We're on the march with Wilders army.... :)

if true that CW is pissed off then the board want fkin

these are not high value transfers relatively speaking

substantial investment? ........................ and that's before this £6m bonus

Why would anyone want to go to Bristol City instead of us?

Money - they can offer a better wage than we can
Location - Oxford isn't that far from Bristol
Football - We're newly promoted so could easily struggle. He's definitely not going to start for us.
Ambition - City are established in this league and probably looking to go after a play-off place

'IF' being the operative word here. IF true, then I wholeheartedly agree with your post.

Bristol were 3 points off being relegated but are now going for the playoffs?

Not necessarily.
It's far enough.
We won't struggle and he could start.
We'll finish above them and they'll get no where near the playoffs.

Other than that I totally agree robbie. :)

Its certainly dragging on. Hope its concluded like everyone else. But how many times have we took a long time to get something done and then we all think its going to collapse and suddenly there's interest from someone else, when in reality its just probably the agent doing what they do best! Being a parasite and wanting their share!

where do people expect this substantial investment to come from?? we have to work under ffp regulations just like any other club, and as its based on the previous 3 years income, ours will be considerably lower than most and would not be offset by the money we have just recieved anyway i presume, id much prefer us to go the way we are in a bournemouth/huddersfield mould than go down a portsmouth/qpr road. people just need to start realising we really aint got a barrel of money

Most of the transfers we've completed so far this pre-season, weren't even rumoured. Funny how all the rumoured ones are taking weeks to complete.

Enda Stevens was like like a never ending story ,one has forgotten that me thinks.

Oxford and Bristol are hardly next door are they.
So we might struggle but Lundstram definitely wouldn't start for us, but Bristol City are probably looking to go after a play off place - but Lundstram would walk into that team? Don't get the logic behind that.

No, but it's commutable.
I never said he would. Sub for a team pushing for the play-offs vs sub for a newly promoted team.

If truth be told many, me included, are getting our knickers in a twist for a player that we can't honestly say we was on our wish list of targets like Ricky Holmes or Marcus Maddison! That said nor was Jake Wright and Jack O'Connell and they turned alright pretty ok! I still think Lundstram will sign.

The bookies all have us at shorter odds than Bristol City.

It's a Bladey Inferiority Complex epidemic, I'm afraid. It's reaching Uriah Heep levels of obsequiousness at the moment. Caps are being doffed wildly in all directions and forelocks ripped out at the root.

The bookies had us favourite to win league one the last 6 years, Clinton to beat trump and Remain to beat leave, the bookies aren't always right, there are many reasons Lunstram may chose Bristol over us and one of them is the fact that they could very much do better than us, its our first season back in the league a lot has changed in 6 years.

I don't get the Bristol view either.. people talking about them spending £5m on a striker but he's come into replace a player that would cost between £10m-£20m I can't see him being as good as Abraham and it was him that kept them up.this French kid is a panic buy
