I'm light enough , i'm just trying to have a discussion on the topic you raised.... I don't see how signing a player as cover can be construed as a lack of ambition thats all

because there is better value .....and when SUFC have opportunities to show AMBITION it never happens.... look how far the Blades have fallen in the last 12 months.... how much money has been wasted etc....
SUFC should be bringing in players on the way up...not on the way down lookin for a final pay day,pension.

The sensible idea would have been to have a good squad before the transfer window closed... but in fairness no one can help injuries etc.. but when you look at the money Floppo wasted and the crap he brought in ..... oh my......

Do it on the cheap was your idea, signing your mate from a pub team. Do you get 15% of the transfer fee?

Except for your side of this story is that instead of getting in a professional and available player as cover, we should sign someone from a pub team in order to be ambitious.

As the Fantastic Mr. Fox says, you can hardly slag the club for a lack of ambition if you want them to sign a pub team player. So far, every player signed, regardless of opinions of them, is a professional, thus demonstrating the board and management teams, even Robson, had/have more ambition than you.

I don't think Ugo has done all that much wrong to be honest, he's hardly been on the pitch to put a foot wrong.

Really though has Foxy. He was awful at Colchester, and also against Scunthorpe (thankfully he got injured there though).

Coventry he didn't much opportunity to mess up, can't comment on Plymouth (but wasn't he a sub again?) and the Watford game I don't recall.

Im presuming you are refering to the comedy Colchester goal, which was Morgan's error. Against Scunthorpe he misjudged a couple of balls and then proceeded to win it back and/or someone helped him out if I remember rightly. Compare this to our current first choice centre pairing, Morgan has done far worse this season and many (not me) were absolutely slating Killa at the start of the season for his errors.

Like I said, he might not be good enough, but he certainly hasn't been worse than any of our current first choice. Think he'll be gone at the end of the season.
