I'm light enough, i'm just trying to have a discussion on the topic you raised.... I don't see how signing a player as cover can be construed as a lack of ambition thats all
![]()
How can we pay over the top and be accused of doing things on the cheap in the same sentence i'll never know!
because there is better value .....and when SUFC have opportunities to show AMBITION it never happens.... look how far the Blades have fallen in the last 12 months.... how much money has been wasted etc....
SUFC should be bringing in players on the way up...not on the way down lookin for a final pay day, pension.
Who would you have signed on loan then? bearing in mind all the premiership teams generally want to keep their squads intact and nobody in the championship will want to help us out?
How is the loan window an opportunity to show ambition?
How is 26 year old John Halls, with i'd suggest under 100 first team appearances in his career "looking for a final pay day"/"Pension"?
Foxy the loan window aint an oppotunity to show ambition, it should have been done long ago... this season is another write off for the Blades and i've seen plenty of em... too many.... John Hall is not one of the players on a final pay day pension but look how many players SUFC have that are......
Say again look how far SUFC have fallen in the last 12 months........
So, your saying this signing is nothing to do with you're point.... why are you using it as a tool to slag off a "lack" of ambition?
Surely having players available to play in a position rather than not, is not a lack of ambition but a sensible idea?
Had(dock) to be SF![]()
The crap like BT who without him we would be lying in the bottom 3?
Another statement of AMBITION from SUFC :cry2:
Do it on the cheap was your idea, signing your mate from a pub team. Do you get 15% of the transfer fee?Got to keep the 'happy clappers' on there toes.............................
AMBITION MY ARSE.............................
SUFC motto = Do it on the cheap.
As the Fantastic Mr. Fox says, you can hardly slag the club for a lack of ambition if you want them to sign a pub team player. So far, every player signed, regardless of opinions of them, is a professional, thus demonstrating the board and management teams, even Robson, had/have more ambition than you.Except for your side of this story is that instead of getting in a professional and available player as cover, we should sign someone from a pub team in order to be ambitious.
It's getting that way. If beightonblade carries on with these arguments and counter-arguments he'll end up with a thread where he can just argue with himself. Is this a Monty Python sketch?
and that proves how shite SUFC are................ the Championship this season should have been a walk in the park for the Blades.........
Again for you 'happy clappers' .......... look how much the Blades have gone 'downhill' from last season ?
BT can't be arsed.....yer make mi laugh....... or is it cry?
I don't think Ugo has done all that much wrong to be honest, he's hardly been on the pitch to put a foot wrong.
Really though has Foxy. He was awful at Colchester, and also against Scunthorpe (thankfully he got injured there though).
