So here you have it, the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth:

Porktalk:

"Egan has cost £600,000 up front. There is no guaranteed money on top of this. The fee is £600k - although there are add ons, of which the only add ons that will absolutely come to fruition are if he makes 60 appearances for the blades, and also if he achieves promotion whilst under contract.

The add ons could potentially reach £4m however the likelihood of this? Is the dude going to reach 20 caps? Are SUFC going to get promoted in the lifespan of this contract? Will he score in 10% of the games he plays (Yes, that is a part of the contract - if he scores in 10% of the games he plays for the duration of his contract, SUFC will have to pay out to Brentford!)

How do I know this?

HA! SUFC you have a mole, well, actually no you don't - you have an imbecile of a woman who likes to blurt all and sundry whilst she is drunk at a certain extra curricular activity for her daughter.

This happened tonight. It was surreal.

I'm not even joking - this bint did not shut up, for almost an hour! I have some right material on the blades and no offence, but I will be dining out on it for months - it was good stuff !!!"

All I can say to that is:

I don't know why said porker is laughing? If that is remotely true, then Wilders a fkin GENIUS :D

Outstanding bit of business if true, I wouldn't be disparaging us, I'd be congratulating and wishing my negotiating team were as good as United's if I were them lot.

I think there's a good chance we might pay a few of those but if we get promoted I think paying Brentford a mill or so will be small potatoes.

Would love this to be true but unfortunately it just has to be complete bollocks.

I for one believe in the accuracy of a biased individual reporting on the word's of an allegedly drunk person.

It may seem implausible to have add-ons worth around five times the value of the actual sale price, but his word is good enough for me.

Fortunately it's an exceedingly rare event that a Championship player gets twenty caps for Ireland given their outstanding strength in depth, so we're safe on that front, and no centre back has ever scored 5 goals in a season, so can't see us paying out there either.

If this is true, and it definitely is, I'm embarrassed that we've bought a Championship team's captain for such a paltry sum. We should be shelling out £6m up front on players who bottle penalties in the club's most important game in a decade. It's the decent thing to do.

Maybe she was shitting the porky cunt !

Ignore almost anything that originates from the swine. Envy and hatred aren't good bedfellows, and those idiots will never apply objectivity to their opinions.

Not once have I seen one of 'em display a congratulations for what we achieved last season. We humiliated the fuckers at their ground, and it wasn't long before they emptied their seats as the writing was on the wall. They just couldn't swallow the truth that a team that had spent sex seasons in Div1 could actually out-perform them, it was as if they were entitled to beat us, and when it became clear that we out-played and out-thought them they still refused to accept what had happened.

For the Blades to finish well above them was the icing on the cake. They were meant to be the team bound for promotion, yet they did well to avoid relegation.

This season will be more than interesting, they've had to look on as other teams bring in new and better players. And I do hope that they continue with their comments about Egan - before we play 'em he'll have read their comments and need no firing up after reading what the pigs have had to say about him.

Please don’t wait months to tell us what ‘gems’ you’ve heard our attention spans aren’t that long.

Just as a note though, years ago I was very drunk and professed to the world that I wanted Bob Bookers babies when I woke in the morning I thought to myself actually that’s not true I didn’t want them at all and I’d said it in the heat of the moment Mrs.Oldprogrammeseller would not be at all pleased and that more mouths to feed would take a toll on our finances, sometimes people do like an audience!

Or maybe the porker is a liar.

Still I'd like to think we had only paid £600k but as i don't live in fantasy land I will probably have to accept that we paid £4.1m.

Can you imagine having such a sad life that you make up a load if drivel and then post it as fact on a football forum as a way to try and get one up on your local rivals? The sad insecure bstard. Was he dropped on his head at birth?

Yes. I imagine his social calendar is completely booked up what with the hundreds of people desperate to take him out and buy him a meal so as to be privy to these fabulous, insider stories. Its a natural reaction;

“Tell us more about these amazing insights!”
“Buy me food and I will”

It’s either Tango, or a hobo.

Yeah cuz it’s mary who washes the kit. Wilder consults her on everything!

The only woman at the club who may know anything is Donna the secretary, she’s been there for years and ain’t the type to mouth off

"Well you know that established 25 yr old championship defender that's also an international, yeah? The one that even at £4m represents good value in today's inflated transfer market? Well they actually only paid £600k for him, with the rest as add ons! Yeah, the exact opposite we did with Joost van Aken! I've not stopped laughing about it since I heard it! Fancy only paying 15% of a players value; what a tinpot club! Why are you looking at me funnily?"

After the initial, 'this can't be true but if it is that's great', my mind did go straight to, 'who the fuck would know that information?'

Normally I’d suggest it would be the agent or agency, but it looks like Egan is represented by Gordon Armstrong (brother of former Blade Chris), and that Armstrong’s company (GA Sports Management) is a one-man band.

Think this story is nonsense, but I do suspect that the £4.000001m fee has a large add-on aspect – I would guess the guaranteed cash would be £2.5-3m with the rest add-ons.

If that's true then just why the fuck would we announce it as a record signing?

McCabe was adamant we'd paid 3 million or more up front for Ched until Birch told everyone the facts.

I've no doubt the Pig is talking bollocks but I hope he's fucking right :) Great deal if so.

My dad once said to me they are as thick as pig shit they where then and the he still are

The workings of the pig fans thought processes .actually making up shit like this. They can't bear the thought of us spending 4m when they are excluded from any sort of large deal. They are a pitiful group of dicks spurting out this city is ours slogans . Still don't know what that means from a club that can't afford it's own academy or any ground improvements . Never mind own a city

How much did we pay for ched ?
I genuinely don't know

If this is true (highly unlikely) I'll sing praises to United's negotiation team for an absolute steal of a transfer. Unlikely coming from porktalk. But either way it's a steal at either price.

I believe it was around 750k up front with the possibility of it going to 3 or 3.5 million with various possibilities, most of which never came to fruition.

Now that you mention it those figures do ring a bell

History will always show it as a three million pound deal though ,wonder how many more are like that

It always amazes me how they know every last little detail about any of our finances.

Here’s another from the same thread. Total opposite to what the other numpty said but still claiming to know all the minute details of a deal between two football clubs of which only those involved in actual negotiations would know.

“Whoever was blabbing to you mate was talking absolute testicles. The fee upfront was/is £3,750,000 which incidentally is the exact amount of 1st down payment from DavidBrookes deal”

If you knew anything else youd say it. Unless he's saving it for his book?

Quite a few I suppose.

All deals will be structured differently, with some carrying higher amounts on the possible never never than others. Brooks seems to be weighted more on guaranteed payments by the looks of it.

Appearance based extra payments used to be the norm, and I guess maybe still is. Hence why some players suddenly stop getting picked even though they're fit and worth a place in the team.

The undertone of the Pig's post is "ha, you lot didn't get your record signing afterall, so stop going on about it".

...I'd rather spend less money on a player, pal. If you're offering me £4m worth of player for £600k, I'm laughing. In Wilder we trust.
...........you mean as opposed to £400,000 of player for £10 mill :D:D:D:p

Good post , but you needn't have been so derisory about " spent sex"

As you will find out , it comes to us all eventually.
