Its a no. However i think someone will take a gamble.
No, they've released him because it isn't good enough, and I can confirm he isn't after watching him last season.
Ability is nothing without the right attitude and application. Cofie thought we were beneath him and strutted about like he was 'Billy Big Bollocks' from Old Trafford, well lets see how far that attitude gets him down the job centre?
I guess someone will give him a contract but personally I'd be surprised if he was still playing professionally in five years.
Sadly, I feel the same about one of our home made young strikers. Some, however, would have him leading the line as first choice, notwithstanding that he has never scored a single goal in an adult league and has been less than prolific against other kids.
Strange world, isn't it?
[I wouldn't have Cofie again either. One taste was enough!]

Bit of difference between not being good enough for Man U and not being good enough to improve on what an average third tier squad has on offer.
I think he showed flashes of ability that, if nurtured, could make him a good player in the future. Get him to realise that professional football isn't all about trying to beat five men and score a screamer every time you get the ball and I think he could do very well. He was as quick as any player I've seen in a long time.
As it is, I doubt he'd want to come back to us. He was hardly a fan favourite and his introduction as a substitute was met with jeers a few times. I doubt we hold a fond place in his heart.
You're worried he'll become the new Montgomery aren't you? That he will go on to play 300 games over the next decade for United with only you noticing he's not very good?
The way things turned out disappointed me with Cofie you think you have got a world beater for a season but you end up with a tosser same with KitsonYou sound almost disappointed. Have a word with Darren if you're that way inclined, I'm sure he'll have some good tips for you.....
There's an irony though in Pinchy's mocking of Ironside's failure to score given his repeated eulogies about Dave Kitson. Kitson moved to Cambridge when he was 21 but didn't score until his 6th start for them. Ironside has started 2 games for United at 19 but Pinchy has already written him off.
Personally, I think Ironside should be looking at a spell on loan in League 2: possibly at York or Accrington given the connections those clubs have with us (I am assuming that Cresswell will join York in the summer in a player/coach role). I wouldn't write him off yet.
I wonder who will have scored more goals by the end of their careers. Kitson or Ironside? Personally, I haven't the slightest doubt. I've nothing against Ironside and wish him well. My criticism is aimed at those of us who pretend he is far better than he is, simply because he is young and tries hard. It's not enough.
Will he ever be good enough? Time will tell, but he needs to get cracking sooner rather than later. I'm not holding my breath.
Got a good touch and uses his body well, but far too slow in both thought and deed to ever make it.
I don't agree with sending 19 year olds out on loan, Christ if they can't hold their own in Division 3 by that age, they're simply not good enough.
