Is it just me or did Brayford being out actually improve us as a team? For me the answer is yes, since we signed him he hasn't played to level he was at on his initial loan spell, If a bid over £1million comes in during the summer id take it and move him on, big money for a bang average player. he's been found out big time defensively this season

Some of his performances this season if his name was Hammond or McEveley he would be slagged of to the moon and back with multiple threads about his performances but as he has a beard I fell some fans worship him for that rather that what he is delivering on the pitch

Everybody knows he's not playing well. Nobody will forget what he did for us 2 years ago, he was a major part in saving us from relegation to league two and leading us to Wembley.
The players that are getting slated have never done anything for us. Earn the respect of the fans and we might not gang up on them for every bad performance

To get extra time or extra leniency from any sets of fans you either need to be a kid, a fan yourself, or you have to have earned it in some way.
Fans don't get on your back after 2-3 bad games and they don't change their opinions on you after 2-3 good ones either.
Brayford has earned this leniency but he's starting to win himself some detractors now too.

What's the injury btw....not heard anything other than its bad..

Resting up so he can sign for his lover Clough next season*

*typical cynical forum comment
He is Cloughs love child same as Matty Done is the same with Keith Hill.
Always been in his corner but i have to question him after recent performances

Never quite regained his form.
To be fair, he suffered a horrendous injury when he blocked the ball but that Swindon oaf went straight over the top.
Unfortunately the tackle was blindside to the ref (who had an awful game) otherwise he would have been sent off, it was a shocking tackle.

Really? I remember thinking Brayford had neshed the challenge, and if he had not he would have probably been alright.

Grade 2 tear of his calf muscle.

Was on crutches at the game.

We looked so good down the right because the plan of putting Bash up against their 14 worked a treat. Credit to all concerned.

The Beard might have done just as well in that role against that player - in fact he might have scored with that flying volley Bash dipped just over the bar second half. Who knows.

If we insist on kicking players while they're down then can we start on someone else?

I don't think it would be fair to kick a player on crutches, unless it was megson, of course, but thats a given

So it's like that time when you split up in a relationship then?

It's not you John. It's us.

We will always love you though.

It's complicated things for the summer that's for sure, I think they were banking on getting Brayford's wages off the books and a decent fee as well.

The injury could delay any sale till late in the window thus reducing the time for any of the money that did go into the transfer kitty to be spent

I hope he'll be back soon. I saw WHF mentioned Grade 2 tear on his calf muscles. Anybody know how bad that is? I saw him today and he was on crutches unfortunately. Sad times.

Bob Harris had just made a terrible mistake and Brayford came to the rescue but at a cost of getting badly injured

I, like many others fell in love with The Bearded One. He will always have a place in Blades folklore for his integral role in saving us from relegation, the incredible cup run that followed, scoring the goal that sent us to Wembley, and of course taking a pay cut and dropping a division to play for us. However, he has been far from indispensible this season, and if a Championship club comes a-knocking, I think we should sell, if the price is right.

Hopefully he'll be fit enough to sell before pre season starts, but the thing is, any fee we get for him won't have too much of an impact on our budget. No one will pay more than 500k. Maybe this will be our pitiful excuse come September... "we needed to raise funds to bring players in but unfortunately we couldn't get the 300k for Brayford before August due to his injury so we had no time, especially as the transfer committee were on holiday..."

If that's all we'll get for him then we might as well keep him. Maybe he'll do better with better players around him.
