I can honestly say I haven't but little alarm bells ring with the fact he doesn't seem able to get in a side that basically plays the equivalent of our 1st Division.

He's being kept out of the squad by 2x International Holding Midfielders.

Raskin is a starter for Belgium (ranked 8th in the World).
Connor Barron - admittedly I don't know much about, but has been a Scotland U21 for years and has now been called up for the main squad

Given Wilder with very limited options identified and secured Riedewald and Bamford, both players with similar criticisms following their signing, surely you just have to let him identify his targets. If Wilder wants him, then you have to give him his head and trust he know's what he's doing.
Let's be fair, this type of market is where his record is consistently pretty strong.

Very pleased if we finally sign him, 5+ years later....

Do think concerns about his fitness are probably valid. He has looked fatter than necessary for the last 2 years or so. Might have slackened off further thinking the SPL would be comfortable

He used to be quite an explosive ball carrier, but he's more of a deep creative player now, but he's very good at that as well

Wouldn't surprise me if he's a 60 minute guy for a few weeks, but he'll lift our quality massively

Hes only played 2 games for Rangers that is too small a number to right off a player .I imagine he will be frustrated after such a good season with Leeds.

This thread just shows yet again that no matter who we try to sign, someone will find fault with it.

With Peck injured and Blaster still getting back to speed, this is exactly the kind of signing we need.

Knows the division in side out, knows how to get promoted and can walk straight into the side. 30 is not "old" these days if a player has looked after himself and he ran us ragged like a 25 year old last season.

Spoke to a Rangers mate at work and he’s not been too impressed with Rothwell at Ibrox.

If he can get back to his old Championship form then hopefully it will be a good signing.
